Actually, if you read the other posts here, the ONLY important one is forcing the emulator to run in 256-Colors.

I haven't really found another game except for Grandia 3 where on some places there is a significant speed boost. First pic: normal Second pic: with 256 colors on I won't post screens with AA on, cause my GFX is to weak for it, it shows a little improvement in fps but it's not noticeable with my GFX. Thanx for telling us this.

thats normal. you need to check 256 colors only, nothing more.

Although it seems to work for some people, others seem to be having problems with this tweak. Probably game related. Like, I had problems in ffx-2, it tended to crash with this 256-colors tweak, while it seems stable in normal high color. Didn't see much improvement in this game with the tweak on anyway, easy choice in that case I'd say. Best bet; trial and error and wait for the likes being implemented in a new version. Using a (very) low resolution should make the biggest impact if you have a slower cpu/gpu atm tbh irl imho. (edit: oh yunie does look good no? ^.^)

Just for technical log: I tried forcing 8 bit colors with Ati Tools drivers. GS plug-in open error, everyone of them I use in Emu.

Well, if full screen rogers your hamerstien, than I suppose it wouldn't hurt. I can't really see myself geting turned on over Fullscreen. I've personaly tried this fix before I even used the emulator, so I couldn't really say I noticed a performance increase, but it must do something :P |
