PCSX2 freezes up after i see sony animation

I'm trying to play Shadow Hearts on my computer. I have PCSX2 V0.9.6, all the necessary plug-ins, bios, and so on (as far as I know), but when I run the game, all I see is the "Sony Computer Entertainment" animation before the program stops responding. I did notice that the software told me that ROM1, ROM2, and EROM were not found. Do those errors have any significance? Please help!

How are you running the game? Try going to File -> Run CD/DVD instead of Run -> Execute

What plugins are you using?

Going on the little information it sounds like it could be related to how you start the game.
