i've updated the instructions, still incomplete though. I have to add the part for fontconfig. For the missing libs you need to do the following: You also need to copy to /usr/local/lib the .dylib files from the following archives http://pcsx2-mac.quant0r.com/files/libs.tar.gz http://pcsx2-mac.quant0r.com/files/sdl.tar.gz and run ./install_glew.sh from http://pcsx2-mac.quant0r.com/files/glew.tar.gz Also check that you have latest xquartz installed |

i've been playing around with svn and the feature i like most so far are the speed hacks ![]() disgaea is around 150% speed now ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ffx pretty much the same, though i fixed frame limit ![]() and yeah, it's broken now, i'll have to spend some more nights to debug it ![]() ffxii movies are now full-speed ![]() ![]() in-game ffxii is still 20fps(aa4x) to 35fps(noaa) ![]() ![]() I'm still pondering whether i should just take svn with fixes i've done or try to add svn revision by revision on top of my 0.9.4 though |

cheers I'm getting a mac in a short while and this really is a godsend, I wish you luck on this project Zedr0n, and even, in my wildest dreams hope sometime the PCSX2 developers look into this and contribute or include releases like this in their official supported platforms. So yeah, many thanks for this. (and I hope I can, someday run everything full speed on a macbook pro 2.4 GHz with a 9600GT )

Thanks for the instructions. I got the X11 and CG framework installed but I can't get anything else to work. Am I just supposed to download those files and paste the code from your instructions into terminal?

well since not even the windows version offers this i think you will have to wait a while... there is no way to currently do this because of the external libraries required to make this project work... Eventually after he gets the project to a more stable progression (and work slows) he will probably put all the necessary scripts files that he and the fine ppl of the pcsx2 dev team have written into a zip file.. but you will still likely need to download the xtra libraries needed to get it running.

Hi all, i'm french , so scuse my english if you don't understand me in my message ^^ Well, i would like to know how to install and configure more plugins on Pcsx2 (on MAC OS X) . I will love you (xD) if you can tell me how to play to FF X and FF XII on my mac, i can play on it with Windows and Bootcamp. I have a mac book pro (old model, July '08) and i'm very satisfied of the fact that i could play Ps2 videogames because i'm currently a student and i haven't my ps2 with me ^^ So my question is : what i have to install and configure to play to any Ps2 game (like FF X ^^) ? Thanks you in advance for your answers, Bye ! Edit : I have successfully run Pcsx2 on MAC OS X, i just need help to configure plugins and play to my games ^^ |

I am thoroughly impressed. I have a macbook unibody 2.0Ghz and can confirm that the workaround for a blank whitescreen works as described by rayan here: The Macscene Forums • View topic - PCSX2 for Mac I am trying the ntsc version of FFX and as soon as i enable the EERec - EE/IOP option i recieve a bus error. I noticed you mentioned it in your original post Zedr0n. Any idea on how to fix it? |

I've had some time recently and it seems like quite a lot of people are having problems with installing all the necessary libs, compiling fontconfig, whatever, so i've made a .pkg. I've tried to test it but it was rather limited testing so I need you to tell me if it really works as it should ![]() The package will install all necessary libs in correct locations and pcsx2/mac itself would be in Applications/pcsx2 This package also includes the spu plugin, ported by rayan from macscene forums. Thanks go to him for his good work. Well, nothing much to say, grab it here - http://pcsx2-mac.quant0r.com/files/pcsx2.pkg |
