Woow, don't tell,,,do you know even what is a compressed file (hopfully you're kidding around or else...!!, anyway: a vast tutorials for you bro, so plz focus :

step 1 - Download a program named 7Zip from (7-Zip), than install/setup it.

step 2 -
Quote:
first:how should i use the latest GSdx?download then do what? i tried sth but didn't really work.../&/Can't see any lilypad in my emulator...DO I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD ALL THE PLUGINS AGAIN?
- for this one you will use the 7zip program to decompress it (at least you know what is path and drives means),,, after that go to folder where you decompressed files and search for DLL files (example : GSdx9.dll) and copy them all to plugin folder located in pcsx2 main/root directory...ok ( must download all desired plugins, including lilypad).

step 3 -
Quote:
In guide it says when i first run pcsx2,it'll show a message about the memory and sth...that doesn't happen to me...and i have to run pcsx2t to start the emulator not pcsx2.exe(i haven't made a mistake it's pcsx2t in case it seems strange...)
- For this one don't care at all about the message, 'cause it appearse just ones, when you first time runs the pcsx2.exe just to adjust your memory with pcsx2 hundles(kindda optain more speed with this func), if not, pcsx2t.exe will be excuted instead and it works fine,,,,but advise you to excute pcsx2.exe each time you want too, and see what happens,..there if the requested message appears continue with the procudure, if not dont care and continue using as described.

step 4 - depends on your CPU, you can see some details of your CPU in the black screen behind the main GUI of pcsx2,,,and there you can get some facts about the missing stuff...or whatever...a good start is always to try run PCSX2 with the default CPU settings, than when things goes well, made changes you wish to gain some frames&speed...try to run bios first, by selecting CDVD null Driver,,,than navigate in all its sub-menus than quit,,,if every thing works fine without a single error message,,,than congratulations you can run games,,,proceed with the guide...

-----------------------------------Creating ISO--------------------
- ISO is full copy of a CD/GD/DVD ROM media to your hard drive (drives ex: C:, D:...etc)
- So to create an ISO with any program that support it (nero, discjugller...etc) you have just to specefy the DVD-ROM reader (where your DVD is, in which you want to creat a copy)as a source and a drive (ex: C: ) as a store place,,,and than hit start, copy buttons...end

Et voila, geuss cleared some stuff,,,try them and try to reduce your problems next time you post,,,,OK mr.Tiger
-------------------------------------NOTE:-------------------------
By the way, Do you even have bios files (SCPHxxxxx, ROM1.bin,ROM2.bin, eRom.bin)(must dump the bios from your PS2 console, or use the net), guess it is another dead meat you're trying to feed us!!

OK first of all,I read you didn't see the box where you manually set the frame limit.Means you are NOT using the latest version of the emulator which is 0.9.4 and you should download it from the official site.Delete all your other stuff except the bios, download and install that, then download the new GSdx as directed above along with the dll files it requires.
If you keep getting the mem allocation error use the other exe (pcsx2t.exe) that's why it's there.

Oh and you really have to improve your behavior around here towards people who use up their free time to help you....

0.9.4 doesn't have the box for custom fps, it only shows up in the beta build. I couldn't believe he couldn't see it, so downloaded 0.9.4 and it's not there.

spyross: If you want to use custom fps, it looks like you'll have to jump up to the beta build. The big problem is there isn't any support for it, since it's a non-release build.

And it's stuff like this that rubs people the wrong way. You make it sound like you are entitled to the support from the forum.

Ah you're right there, thanks for correcting me.0.9.4 is so old already,I didn't even think it didn't have the custom fps field

Question 1
How do you get Game images
You buy the Disk from a reputable game store, and then Using one of the many guides on the board, create an image file from the disk.

Question 2.
How do you mount game images.

Well for this you require a CDR plugin which can mount images, or virtual drive software, such as alcohol-soft's Alcohol 120 or 52%, or Daemon Tools.

As for SE_Lock Memory, seeing as Vista, just like XP Home, doesn't have the group policy editor... i couldn't tell you.... How ever, as long as you launch PCSX2 with full admin elevation it should......

Refraction get in here >.<

PCSX2 can still fail to lock even with administrative privileges. This is normally caused when another program (ie 3rd party firewall or antivirus) takes the memory before PCSX2 does, and won't give it up.

Try to disable all other software and run PCSX2 as admin.

The most extreme fix is to change the memory range pcsx2 grabs, but this requires Visual Studio 2005. If you don't know how to make an image of a cd, I'm going to assume you don't have it.

Side note: It might be a good project to start a list of all the programs that are known to interfere with pcsx2's memory grab.

err, SE_Lock Memory is a group policy setting and should set regardless, . changing a setting is not effected by the memory range.

The bug would start occuring after the policy was set, since this is when the memory range is accessible.

Cotton, you should mention and post a link near the top of your guide stating that the screenshot thread is a great place to look to see which games are playable and what particular settings and plugins were used to reach this playablilty.

I have read around these forums a bit and this project interests me quite a bit. I know my desktop will handle this beast of a program no problem. I do understand that This emulator is not meant for laptops And I did not see this question I am about to ask in the forums while I was reading. So if it is I apoligize ahead of time. I see the currently the required specifications are quite high, And my question is.
Are these specs expected to lower as development continues?

try clicking "Horiz Axis" and "Vert Axis" instead of "Left"&"Right" and "Up"&"Down".

if that dosn't work, try posting in the lilypad thread for more help.

some updates have increased speed a bit, but the aim of PCSX2 is to emulate the PS2 perfectly.

If PCSX2 runs slow on your system, then the best thing to do is to upgrade to a faster computer.
