PCSX 1.6 Beta request...
Hello,
This message is mainly for the emu coders. I'd like to know if I could post a compiled win32 binary of PCSX 1.6 beta, for the people who can't compile it themselves, + the fact that it's now not being worked on anymore... I'll await an answer before doing anything ![]() François C. |

Re: PCSX 1.6 Beta request...
Since PCSX is licensed under the GNU General Public License, you have the right to do this without even asking them provided you either 1) make no changes to the source before compiling or 2) release the source to your changes.
Since the authors chose the GPL, they most likely decided then that you should be allowed to do this. Of course, it is still very good of you to ask and get their opinions on it. I do not represent the authors in any way of course

Yes, but he would have to release his new source as well.
He couldn't change the source greatly, compile it, let people download the binary without letting people download his altered source; that would be a violation of copyright (under the GNU GPL) |

Re: PCSX 1.6 Beta request...
I was asking because as most of you prolly know, they don't want people to do it with Pcsx2
I just wanted to be sure I'll post it soon, I'll make a new thread for it. It's not modified at all (maybe I'll try that later), It's mainly for those who wants to try it.
