vandal hearts 2: tech animation crash
Hi everyone,
i do have a rather annoying problem with this game, it crashes right after those funny rainbow colored rings appeared when using a tech in-battle... this doesn't always happen (but waay to often ^^ ) and obviously at random... my config: Peops' Soft Driver 1.15 with: -fullscreen mode 640x480, 85 Hz, Color depth 16 bit -Stretching: Scale, keep ratio -no Dithering -Use FPS Limit (60 FPS) the rest is disabled Peops CDR Driver 1.4: -w2k/xp - ioctl scsi commands -read mode: be_2 -read ahead -use 4mb -try again: 5 (i'm mounting the iso with daemon tools 3.26, but also tried it with a normal game cd and with mooby's plugin, too...) Eternal SPU 1.41: Audio device: DirectSound , buffer size: 16 Audio out: Thread -Wait for XA -Cache VAG CPU Config: -Vandal Hearts 1/2 fix -HLE Bios (tried 1001 too) on a sidenote, sometimes in battle, my characters change into monsters for the blink of a second, however this happens totally independently of the animation crashing... i wonder if anyone can help me with this ^^

Eeep
First I would like to say that I am _REALLY_ sorry for bumping this almost three year old topic. I felt it would be better to post in an already created thread than create my own.
I am having the same problem as the thread poster, except it happens ALL the time. PCSX is the only emulator I could get to run VH2, ePSXe kept freezing before it could hit the title screen. Is there any workaround to this? My config: Kazzuya Software Rendering Driver 1.3 (GPU) Kazzuya DirectSound Audio Driver 0.6 (sound) Segu Direct Input Keyboard Driver 0.3 (controllers) Mooby2 CD Disk Image Driver 2.8 (I'm running the CD image directly from my hard drive...Same directory as PCSX) Old piece of crap Dell laptop (enough said, no need to post the horrid specs, but if needed I can post them). Thanks in advance for any help. |
