Problem Running Vandal Hearts 2

Hello. I've recently been having some problems getting Vandal Hearts 2 (NTCS) to run properly. Someone suggested that I patch it to defeat the copy protection. I located the patch and applied using PPF O-Matic 3. It said that the patch was applied successfully. This is what happens: It loads the Konami screen, and then another screen. Then it loads the main start screen for the game that says "Press Start". There is mucis playing. When I press start nothing happens. It just sits there. People have told me this is indeed playable on PCSX, and I wondered if there is something else I'm not doing correctly. Maybe I had the wrong patch or something. Thanks for your help. I'm using the P.E.Op.S GPU plugin too, if that makes any difference.
