Vandal Hearts 2 keeps crashing. . .

Now that I finally got the thing starting, another problem pops up. Most of the time, in all three of Pete's plug-ins, "PCSX has caused an error" pops up when any kind of technique or item is used, and it closes itself. The problem aren't the techniques; it's this ray effect that circles the characters before they use the technique. Is this a plug-in problem, or an emulator bug, or what?
