Request for anyone with PCSX and a Final Fantasy game...

Would you kindly enter a battle using the HLE BIOS and post your results?

well.... as far as I have played (the 3 games, playing them at the same time and haven't finished them yet), it works nice for me.... I can't complain so far..... have you got any problems?.... just curious

edit - I tried Final Fantasy VII on first disc and when I enter a battle PCSX crashes

Just wondering why it seems to crash at battles for some people but not others. Are you using the internal HLE BIOS or a regular Sony BIOS?

no, I mean the internal HLE BIOS image... as I use the internal on PCSX (just for testing purposes) I only use the sony one for serious gaming ....

Well, that could be good news then! So, you have no problem with any Squaresoft games even though you use HLE... but somebody else said that theirs crashed at battles, and mine also certainly crashes at battles. Any chance you could list your config?

Sis 630 Video card with 64 Mb of Vram
256 Mb RAM
AMD athlonXP 1800+ processor
sis 7018 sound card

as you can see everything is way too generic
