PCSX 1.3 Problem

I just recently downloaded Pcsx but when i try to run it firstly it says that it needs to be configured bt then it disappears but in task manager it shows that its still running and taking up 50mb of memory. I really wanted to try this emulator but i dont know what to do.

The problem does not happen on any other emulator (completed FF9 on Epsxe).

HELP !

PLEASE

well, when you run PCX for the first time it always warns that it is not yet configured.

As for the disappearing act, it hasn't happened to me.

Just remove the program from the task manager by ending task.

Btw, this emu is awesome! It ran all my games without needing a BIOS! So far, so good.

After its does the disappearing act it appears in task manager but another process called ddwin (i think) also runs so i just close down both of them, has this got something to do with the ultrahle bug where you couldn't place ultrahle in any folder other then in your c: drive so you couldnt put it in program files.

He meant with the Internal BIOS emulation (no need of any external BIOS file).

This problem is solve by copying into Plugin directory, exact plugins or plugins that you use with ePSXe. Because if you copy into Plugin directory a lot of plugins, PCSX don't run, but if you don't copy nothing PCSX run alright. But I don't use this emulator, and don't play any games for few months, untill Plugins, this is problem I think. If I wrong sorry, because I don't have time to check error with plugins.

Actually, the bios is a HLE bios - so that means the bios is not really low-level reverse engineered.

Consider it like UltraHLE (High Level Emulation).

I really saw the difference in speed using the HLE bios and the actual playstation bios (This emulator can run also from a playstation bios).

Consider it like a big 10fps jump when using it (using my 450Mhz k6-2 processor and a crappy video card).

I used Marvel vs Capcom, Bugs Life, Moto Racer, and Megaman X5 (see ma - no bios!) without any problems. They're really getting somewhere!

Hey.. maybe this litlle out off-topic...
but it is FULLY LEGAL to use PCSX even if u don't have the real console, right? (since it has its own BIOS)

does the internal HLE BIOS support memcards reading?
when loading gt2 with HLE BIOS the emu skips the memcard auto-loading. Using BIOS it works fine.
