How To Create Memory Cards For Mac?

I finally got all the BIOS and plug-ins to run PCSX on my Mac, and I've begun playing Final Fantasy VIII again as a test run; my only concern is that I save to the memory card that loads when I go to save, but when i went back to load it (after quitting) the memory card could not be read. What is wrong and how can I fix it?

Check your mem folder if there exists two mem files, if not try runing the bios to creat'em.
or just use the main GUI mem-cards manager.
and don't forget to format those mem-files before any attempt of their use.

I am having the same problem. Does Mac PCSX have a memory card manager? How do I format a memory card?
