MUGEN is for Windows, AFAIK. I have never seen any Linux version of it. You can find some info(not much) here:

nope, Linux only (for) now. The old version was DOS. You might still find it somewhere.
From the mugen faq:

Quote:
What about a Windows version?
Unlike DOS and Linux, the freely available compilers for Windows are not sufficient for our purposes. Therefore the availability of a Windows port is constrained solely by the availability of a compiler for Windows. Compilers cost money, which we do not have.

If you are interested in a Windows version, please see our web page for a brief summary of features and to see how you can help.

oh well, I suggest we all install linux then ...actually some good-linux only software would be THE reason for more people to change to that OS. But I guess that's not how it usually goes; many linux programs are ported to windows.

the prospect of installing linux on a 1.2 gig hdd (the only one i have spare atm) doesn't seem the greatest of ideas.. somebody should port it

Oops, that's right. I forgot it was DOS, but I used to run it under win98.

Nope. Only the newest version is for Linux. Every prior version is for DOS.

www.elecbyte.com

(There really is nothing special about the newest version from the last. There will be a windows version soon.)

Check out the date of the first post of the thread and the last post before you posted. They're four years + old!! It's against the rules to revive old threads.
