MUGEN is for Windows, AFAIK. I have never seen any Linux version of it. You can find some info(not much) here:

nope, Linux only (for) now. The old version was DOS. You might still find it somewhere.
From the mugen faq:

oh well, I suggest we all install linux then

...actually some good-linux only software would be THE reason for more people to change to that OS. But I guess that's not how it usually goes; many linux programs are ported to windows.

the prospect of installing linux on a 1.2 gig hdd (the only one i have spare atm) doesn't seem the greatest of ideas.. somebody should port it

Oops, that's right. I forgot it was DOS, but I used to run it under win98.

Nope. Only the newest version is for Linux. Every prior version is for DOS.
