Neocron 2 - Beyond the Dome Of Yord

Tho open beta test of a new expansion pack to an, mostly, unknown mmorpg/fps from a few years ago that still looks great has just recently begun.

The homepage for this game can be found at http://www.neocron.com and, as a warning to our dialup buddies, the game client is 1.5 or so gigs.

A download link for this game, found Here Will let you download the game at very reasonable speeds.

And now, SCREENSHOTS!
Represented here are shots of the new game engine vs the old, the new graphical user interface, and the customizable player dwellings, known to normal people as apartments.

If this post is a little more successfull and my download finishes anytime soon more shots will come, these are just from main site.

Well when this game was in beta, I ran it on a 200mhz comp, so well....if you can even RUN ut2k4 in a playable fashion theres no doubt that you have the physical means to run it.

be warned that it is a beta...of sorts. Still based on commercial software tho.

The games not noob friendly in any way so get ready for a learning curve that feels like a U turn.

Well.. not the outdoor areas(outside of the cities), at least. They still run at extremely low frame rates just like in the original Neocron. I hoped that they would fix the framerate.. but, as you said, it's still in beta. It's kind of funny that the old character NPC models are still there, then you see the newer higher poly player models with better textures next to them.
