Alien versus Predator 2 Retail Version

I was so impressed with the demo I went and got the retail version.

Overall the story sequence in the demo is different from the story sequence in the retail version.

There's a lot of trial and error in this game. You can die easily. I squad of soliders can take you down with face to face combat. I find myself reloading constantly.

did you get gold with the primal hunt expansion? i beat the marine campaign but was unable to get past the chestburster stage with the alien...

No, I didn't get the gold edition, I couldn't find it.

But I'm thinking getting the expansion pack tomorrow.

aaaa, AvsP 2, probaply best FPS game ever.

The Chestburster level isnt that hard. Just stay in the shadows and watch out for the lights of the soldier. At the end of level is a cat who you must eat.

I just finished the Predator campaign. The gameplay is like Quake II where you get from point A to B. The route is clear because a lot of the doors are locked making it impossible to get lost.

There's one bug that I don't like in the game. If you perform a head shot with your speargun, the head will sometimes get lodged to on a high ledge making it impossible to get the head.

Unlike the Human campaign where the Aliens jump out at you when you least expected, the Predator can see the Aliens coming towards you like a mile away. You can wipe out your pistol or Plasmacaster and blast them to bits before they reach you.

Aliens can see you even if you’re cloaked so don’t waste your energy cloaking if you’re in an area full of Aliens.

Cyborgs and automated machine guns are also a problem because they don’t give out heat signatures like humans making it impossible to get a lock on with your weapons.

You have to fight the Queen Alien as the second final boss.

The final boss is a joke. One of the easiest final bosses I have killed. Stay at the entrance and fire your pistol at him. When he starts firing, cloak and use your speargun to finish him off.

I had both these games for quite some time, they were pretty great. It was kinda short though, and the predator died to easily, other then that, game was easier then I wanted. FIY, PRIMAL HUNT sucked, it wasn't done by the same crew and just felt slapped together, I found it a waste, but it was an AvP filler -_-

Yup, but what makes AvsP2 good is that you get the feeling that you are in some big world and there is always something happening in background. For example

Remember you play as a predator? You escape from the marines ship by blasting a hole to hull and jump down from it. When you play as a marine, and you come to hangar where is the hole, you can see "yourself" as a predator running and jumping out of the hole. Same thing in some alien missions where you can see either marine or predator running in somewhere (in places where you ahve to go when playing their campaigns.) It really gives the game excellent atmoshpere, and im still not bored to that game.

I loved this game even though I am not that fond of playing FPS, this is like the only FPS game that got me hooked. Playing as Marine is creepy as hell and you feel like playing super villain when you play as Predator. This game is awesome.

Yes, playing marine is extremely creepy. I still remember the ecstasy when i played it first time. I walked in small tunnel and suddenly something jumped towards me and just and just passed my head. I pooped to my pants and screamed "FACEHUGGER" and started blasting around with all i got. After that i noticed it was just some god damn oversized jumping bug. My heart was still beating hard after few minutes of that, "incident".
