Contest: The Sweetest Screenshot
OK, here's how it goes, all i want is in-game screenshots, PC games only and they had to be taken by you (impossible to find out so just dont cheat
) and the goal is to make the most impressive screenshot! And dont mean the one with most graphics, just one that makes you go "WOW!!" and drool all over worshipping the computers Editing the screenshot isn't allowed (again might be dificult to spot but use your own sence). Tbh i dont even care about the contest I just wanna see some of the best screenshots yet ![]() So you don't loose quality on your pic i advise you to host the pic on http://www.imageshack.us/ Anyway here's the first screenshot: Game: Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Settings: 1600*1200 * 32 Bits / 6x FSAA / 16x Anisotropic Filtering / Gamesettings maxed A nice screenshot of Aragorn beating the crap out of a cave troll. Notice the arrow in the troll neck... you gotta love it ![]()

Here's mine.
This is my most favorite game , have to resize it from 1024*768 to 800*600 cause my connection is really sux , So smaller file is better for me. This shot doesn't have any eye-candy graphics but i really like it (ending of MGS2) , When you finish it 2 (or 3 can't remember) times ,your character is automatically wear sunglasses. Can't wait for MGS3 :guitar: :guitar: :guitar: Edit: Opps Forgot to Attach the image :P

I have the original Splinter Cell, and a nVidia 5900 and FSAA disables itself if the executable is named splintercell.exe I have to rename it for FSAA to work and even then there are loads of glitches like lights shining through walls. I haven't gotten around to playing pandora tommorrow yet, but I read the FSAA problems still exist since it is the same engine. Also in the HardOCP review and other reviews I've seen of the nVidia 6800 they say that FSAA doesn't work with Pandora Tommorrow.
http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NjA2LDc= "Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow does not support Anti-Aliasing. There in our testing we set the in-game quality to “High” and only manipulated resolution and AF from the driver control panels." ATi cards don't automatically disable FSAA anymore at least in the newest drivers. But they pretty much exhibit the same problems that my 5900 does in the original Splinter Cell anyways. However, if you use a really old nVidia driver 45.XX or older, there are much fewer glitches in Splinter Cell, infact I didn't even notice them in as far as I have progressed in the game with the old driver, but nVidia still claimed that there were problems even with the old drivers (though I didn't see them). What driver revision are you using? Last edited by Particleman; May 20th, 2004 at 06:22. |

Might be possible! Don't think the game is too heavy anyway! I'm playing it at 1600*1200 with everything maxed and i have 80ish fps! Anyway this is getting off-topic! Back to the screenshots ladies

FSAA is works here too. ( Splinter Cell Pandora Retail Version)
But framerate drop down so much . For me FSAA is work only in Normal View mode , when NightVision , Thermal Vision is equipped , FSAA is Temporary disabled When switch back to normal view , FSAA is Works again. Both picture are captured @1024*768 Max settings /W FSAA 8X , AA8X (Yes , I know it's so damn slow) , First pic is normal view , Second Pic is cap @ the same scene & same camera angle But this time Night Vision is Enabled. In the 1st pic you can hardly see the jaggies , but in 2nd pic you can see jaggies every where. Sorry if my post is off topic , at least i have some pics to show .

Also, Metalmurphy has a Willy 1.7 and it's running better than mine (maybe the 9800, but who cares )I was using driver 45.23 at the time (the only one which has 12xAA in RivaTuner) and that's the only driver it worked with.. running 56.72 now and FSAA doesn't work, period. I didn't see any glitches with it enabled either.. but yes, it was pretty damn slow (I consider it "playable" but not "enjoyable"). Seemed like less than ~12fps, but that's what fraps said so I trust it. ![]() edit: In the article particleman posted, it says 45.xx drivers work with FSAA with no noticable glitches. Guess that explains it.
