Mobo Assrapage

ok...as several of you readers might remember my first mobo in my primary comp (the gigabyte's GA-7N400-L) was assraped before i saw anything on the screen....at all....

now 1 week ago (24th) we figured that it was the mobo, got a nice asus a7v600 and then on tuesday (the day before the [s word]) the asus is shorted out...all i did was install q3 maximum install and then let it reboot, as it requests...

so im wondering is this just some phucked up fluke that those 2 mobos felt like being ass raped at their own personal want of times?

the 9 screws for grounding are good...they came from wittenberg...and several people have looked....now i do have a 420w PSU...is this high wattage hurting anything????

i took out the ram/cpu/gf4 and it didnt beep...so i know, yet again, the mobo was assraped...

all help is appreciated...im gon na get a return on both of them FYI

Re: Mobo Assrapage

Just a trivial question. You are currently using a surge protector, right? What is the rating/equipment guarantee of the surge protector?

Either I can't see the pics, or you're in the wrong forum.

Re: Mobo Assrapage

GKort, I don't know much about electrical wiring, but I would assume if the two computers are plugged in into different wall outlets, anything goes (even when the outlets are in the same room). So, it might be wise to invest in a surge protector. I personally never plug my PC into an outlet directly.

Re: Mobo Assrapage

They're generally reasonably cheap. The price ranges from around $10 all to fancy-ass $60-$80 with some crazy-ass equipment guarantee value (up to a million bucks or something). Anything in the $15-$25 range would do just fine. You could usually get decent 7 to 8 outlet surge protector for that price.

Oh yeah, Strong Bad is the most awesomest thing ever
