Some more.
This time with the full version of F1 2002 + the Hi-Res texture Pack + the Season 2003 Update with new car models, car liveries, etc. Ignore the bad quality, had to downsize them to upto 50% jpeg to keep 'em under 200k ![]() This game rules, a little difficult to handle at the highest level but there are many driving aids to make it as arcadey as the NFS series. F1 99-02 is the latest version but no Hi-Res texture pack for it, so I like playing this more. Last edited by saumilsingh; August 20th, 2003 at 12:38. |

Yep it's fanmade.
You can get it here - http://www.simracingworld.com/files/?File=1058 . It's about 115mb. For the season updates featuring all new season data, car models, etc., visit http://www.emacf1.com . |

Yep it would real sweet on a 9800 or 5900.
I average at about 30-35 fps with 1024x768x32 2x fsaa with all the hires textures and hipoly models installed along with 22 race drivers on my 8500 and Athlon 800Mhz ![]() Here's the new Williams BMW on the new Monza. |

Cool
I like the track. But the car pales in comparison. Look at those mirrors, yuck. Overall it's nice tho. That "30" in the upper left is your FPS I guess?

Yep that would be my fps on the puny 800Mhz. I own.
But 30-35fps is very much good in F1 games, there are hardly any elevations so the race is mostly about moving left and right and you'll be surprised how much smooth 30-35fps feels when moving in only one plane. It's very much like 45+fps if you wouldn't know any better. |

Re: F12002 WIP Demo with the Hi-Res Track Pack
Well, I don't know about you, but if there's one genre that is most affected by FPS, I'd guess racing games. I feel the speed from the display; I don't rely on the speedo. So when framerate is below 60, I don't have a clue how fast I'm going. The very thing happened when I tried CMR3 on my friend's computer - boy it felt like DUI.
Your new shot... it's surely foggy out there, but it seems the fog thickness is a bit uneven, just doesn't seem right... And what is that bit of light on the lower right? Is everything else in a shadow, of a tree maybe? The skin of the Mercedes is nice
