Re: X-Box Project Gotham Racing 2

Wow, the X-Box is pretty damn powerful if it can produce those wonderful graphics. No jaggies and I bet the game isn't even using the X-Box's built-in antialiasing.

Re: X-Box Project Gotham Racing 2

Damn that looks sweet, but I bet it is using the the X-Box's built in antialiasing, as it's not enabled by default, so they have all the geForce 3 modes avaliable to them.

The ground look so damn good and real, nice.
They could use a little filtering here and there to make the scene more realistic like GT3&4, but I'm sure this game will look better in motion.

Re: X-Box Project Gotham Racing 2

now I heard a lot of people say that even the earliest Xbox titles would have "maxed out" the hardware, but apparantly this is not the case.

Re: X-Box Project Gotham Racing 2

Yeah, but look at the difference between this and DoA3 Halo. Then look at the difference between DoA2 and Dark Cloud with Tekken 4/Soul Calibur, Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts and Dark Cloud 2.

OK, what we have here is 2 shots of each of a 1st gen and a current gen RPG and fighter
First is Dark Cloud, then Kingdom Hearts, then Dead or Alive 2, then Tekken 4.

As for the other point; don't tempt me. I once got close to 500 posts in a day IIRC

you don't know me ...allthough 500 in a day would be difficult indeed. I never got that. Also, in my case the content might suffer greatly. and that's exactly what we don't want.

Allow me to save you the trouble. Dead or Alive was considered one of hte best looking games at the release of both the PS2 and the X-Box. Compare that with Gotham. True there is a definate improvement, but not on the same scale as the DoA2-Tekken4 gap
Bear in mind the Gothan shots are probs not indicitive of the final quality....
