Descent Freespace : The Great War

I guess I'm back to my Descent frenzy again. Probably because I found the rare game I was looking for in a 99 cent pile at Wal-Mart

Nice shots. When I read the title, I saw "Decent Webspace: The Great War", cause I was just reading the web forums .

i remember the demo of that game. even though it only let me play 2-3 missions, it was a lot of fun to play. it even ran at almost full speed with the best gfx on my old comp with a p1 233 mhz and 2mb vram if i see the game somewhere in a store, i will have to pick it up. i have always liked the descent series, i own the 1st one, played the demo of the 2nd one (i should dl that again), and i have a demo cd with 3 on it.

Descent FreeSpace is absolutely nothing like the Descent games. It's a space sim, not a first-person shooter. Also, if you can, try getting a copy of FreeSpace 2. It's a fabulous game and a lot more realistic and challenging than FreeSpace 1. The capital ships in FS2 are awe-inspiring and incredibly powerful (I may post some shots of them if Kirby doesn't mind), unlike most space sims. The Juggernaut-class chips (Colossus, Sathanas) are virtually indestructable (they need over a hundred bombs to destroy).

You're asking a little too much.....I was lucky to even find the first one, I had to go dig for it. But I bet they still sell it on the internet. Never in a million years would I bootleg Descent

Knock yourself out, it is a open topic

Why so many demos? I have Descent 1, Descent 2, Descent Freespace 1 w/ the extension pak, Descent 3 w/ extension pak, all hand bought. Also I was disappointed on how I couldn't change the resolution You can try a store that sells old games like EB or Gamestop, that's actually where I found D2 And I believe I saw Freespace 2 there too

Well, here are the shots I promised. These are shots from FreeSpace 2. I took them at the game resolution of 640x480 and decided not to stretch them or modify them.

Engaging rebel hercs
