Re: DOOM III

I cant get a smaller copy, when I try to upload a pic the thing messes up, so I just liked it to the pic. If I can I'll put up a smaller one.

As for wolfy being the first FPS, it's not. Dont remember the name of the first one. Might of been Hover Tank, but I'm not sure.

Oh, and I'll try and find a copy of doom3 at this year's E3 for you

Re: DOOM III

Personally, i think Half Life 2 looks a heck of a lot better. And I know it will be a lot more fun. Doom just never did it for me. It is to mindless a game.
Oh And If Doom 3 is gonna be on Xbox, then the graphics definately aren't up to par, Xbox only supports Dx8 effects. and Hell, by the time it actually comes out, what little WoW effect it might have will be lost to the fact that many games will have surpassed it.

Re: DOOM III

thats what they said about the last HL2 vs. Doom Thread...and thats what happens when you mention Half-Life 2 in a Doom3 thread...people who like doom come in here...they see your opinion...and they argue...threads get closed...

Re: DOOM III

you can get the movie from here:
http://www.computergames.ro/download...nload&did=1420

find a smaller copy of it later.

Also, you might not need a super system to play doom 3. the alpha(no, not going to give a link, and dont ask about it) can be played on your average system if you delete the sound files(they're buggy). That thing wasnt even a finished copy of doom, so the final should run pretty well. BTW, mods if you feel that this premotes the alpha and dont approve of it, feel free to deleate this paragraph.

Hell, this game's gonna be so sweet, I'm betting computer hardware shops will be pretty busy by the time this game comes out.

And I don't care if my GF4 Ti can run the game just right. I'm gonna ditch it and get a GeForce FX 5900 for this one.

Re: DOOM III

Rich people? I worked my ass off for 6 months just to get my Alienware, thank you!

And no, I really won't be 'ditching' my Ti. I'll just tuck it away in my closet. As for the FX, I have a few extra hundred bucks here, why not get one?

Re: DOOM III

no ofense intended on that last post...and i wasn't saying not to get one...i was just saying why get one when you have a computer that would (most likely) already run it...spend the $500 bucks you save on something productive...like a college fund or something
\
and i checked your profile and your out of college by now i think or around it...or never went...none of my business...just sayin...you could wait til they go down in price a buit...but then of course i don't fully understand everything with money and crap...

Re: DOOM III

Way back when, didn't they say the min requirements for Doom3 would be a GF2? That would be with the lowest of low settings of course.
