The upside down pentagram is the symbol for evil.

Yeah, residence evil is a good game, but doom needs more demons and stuff, not just zombies. I play the old doom, so I'm expecting more than just zombies, in the old one there wer lots of imps, hell knighs, barrons of hell, lost souls, etc. Where are they? I hope they will be in there when the game is finished, it's too soon to talk right now. Also your facing hell, there should be more evil things in it, although from pics I have seen there are brains and limbs on the floor That's almost good enough for me, but I need to see a corpse chained up against the wall with blood dripping down but untill then I guess blood and body parts will have to do.

Yeah, I guess I see your point. It's only an early beta out right now, but since it IS a remake of the first Doom, I would expect all that stuff to be in the final. Have faith.

carnage: ninja was talking about your spelling . resident evil not residence
and the pentagram isnīt the symbol of evil, it depends on how you use it. as almost always people see it being used for the bad, you associate it with evil .

I was reading on the forums at doom3.dk about a doom movie. I went and searched for some info, I found a bit
Quote:
from doom3.dk
"I found this on a Doom III news site: The new movie based on the hit series, DOOM, is almost ready to begin filming. Pre-Production staff have concluded that the movie, indeed, would have to be rated R. This will likely come with much praise of fans everywhere. I'd liek to remind you, this is a rumor, but its looking positive!"

http://www.thezreview.co.uk/comingsoon/d/doom.shtm
http://firingsquad.gamers.com/news/n...?searchid=4415

I cant much else. Anyone got any info on it?

I'm woried that if they make a doom movie it will be really cheesy and bad like resident evil was. If they do make it they should get the director of evil dead, with him there would be a chance of making a good movie. Also it would have to be like clasic horror movies fromt he 80s, cause they were a hell of a lot scarier than the **** the make today and arnt as cheesy and aint just a bunch of teens ****ing and getting chased my a monster, also it couldnt be a teenage action movie like resident evil, that would be crap, it would have to be a horror/ suspence/action movie put together by one hell of a crew. It would have to be aimed at people over 10. It would also need really good make up artists and costume desginers so the demons and zombies dont look cheesy, and good director that will tell them not just to walk towards the main character with it's arms sticking out. The zombies in doom arnt like normal ones, they're more like possest people, they're alot smarter than other zombies in other movies and games, they use guns and have surrerty systems. Also good special effects are needed, and good lighting in the movie. In alien you dont even see the alien all that much with made it look cool when you did see it, made it look mysterious, and didnt make it look dumb. The movie would have to be done like that, to have the demons walk around in the light would look dumb. They should get the guy who wrote aliens to write it. He did a good job in righting that movie, doom is kinda similar to it, instead of aliens there's demons. Other than that they are kinda similar, space marines, on other planets, futuristic, etc. Oh, it would also have to be rated R and include gore, but not alot of really cheesy gore, that would just look stupid if there was doom much. In doom3 I like the amount of gore in it. The body parts in it and the bathroom seen were great. If you were to put around that much gore and have a good atmosphere like in the game, it would make it better. Anyway, that's just my ideas on it.

Anyone know anything about it? What are your views on it?

You say you DON'T want the movie to be cheesy, but you say that getting Sam Raimi(evil dead director) to direct it would make it good? Ermm you're kidding, right? The evil dead movies are extremely cheesy which is why they've been so popular and are considered a cult classic by many.

Evil Dead 3 was the epitome of cheesiness. It was superb as a result, and I think Duke Nukem was Ash on steroids, but hey. Who really knows what the movie will be like apart from Sam Rein. Wait and see IMO.
