actually those backgrounds are 2D...they're high res, so that might make them look like 3D, but they're not.

yup, that one has 3d backgrounds, and I read today that it's coming to nintendo's gamecube as well!

ken can kick kyo's ass easily in this game...in capcom vs snk2 kyo is actually like he should be, but in the first one he's too weak (the extra version is pretty good though)

a Lenco tv card. I got it cheap ($60? I dont exactly remember) in I think 1999. It contains a BT848 chipset (nowadays you have mainly BT878, which is about the same). The svideo-input on this card is great. I dont know which other cards have that, so I suggest you ask on some sites which brand tv cards have a good svideo in (very important if you want to attach a console).
I'm also using a freeware tv program that reduces the scanlines, resulting in a MUCH better picture than you'd normally get

the program is called Dscaler (www.dscaler.org), it really helps
Normally you have a lot of scanlines (you can still see a few in this pic (look at the "transparent cammy") but dscaler does a great job at getting rid of them
