Anime recommendations

I would like some members to recommend me some anime for me to watch. I'm looking for something that focuses heavily on character's development/psychology (ie Serial Experiments: Lain and .hack//sign) rather than action scenes. I've been suggested Witch Hunter Robin. Does it fall in this category?

I skimmed part of the anime thread below, but didn't find anything of interest to me. Might be easier this way...

Which was the one I read, but of no avail as most didn't interest me and I wactched most that did. People there are listing animes they like, but you don't have to like anime X to recommend it, so long it somewhat matches what I'm looking for. This actually happened with my friend. He hates all three listed above, but still recommended me.

I guess I can ask there though. I'll post there. Thanks for reminding me.

Yes, get the Witch Hunter Robin. It is great anime, but in begging it will be boring to you. After the anime is getting closer to end, it just stun you how good it is.

Blood+? Im on it currently, it is not so awesome like they all say (my opionion). :/

Try End of Evangelion.

Well, I am watching Death Note right now and it might be something that suits your criteria. It certainly does not have much character development, but it deals alot with the minds of two individuals, so the psycological part is definitely there.
