How did you come up with the user name(s)?
So, tell us how you came up with the user name(s) you are using ^^
I saw this thread in the bin; I like the idea, so I decided to start one here ![]() Here's my reason^^: Something happened in my family, so I wrote this: The Fading Memorials As a result, I started to use that as my msn screen name. However, that name is too long for most of the websites and for me to type @@", so I abbreviated it to Fadingz.

Hard Core Tech and RiCoH-san (notice reversed HCR already
) sounded lame at the time. I was more into forum support and such. After a while, I've started defaulting my usernames back to Hard Core Rikki and hardcorerikki

Umm... StriderVM.....
Well, Striders are Capcom/Moto Kikaru creations, they're basically like elite cops/police. Which includes Strider Hiryu/Hien. The VM part is basically what my friends call me when I was younger. I'm usually the best video game player in my friends. So at times they call me "Video Master" .... That's it I guess. Although the "eureka" moment was a moment of real of venereal diseases.... And I wrote certain stuff using an alias of "Venereal Madness" .... LOL ....

At the time, I was getting to watch DragonBall again on Toonami. I hadn't seen or heard from this cartoon in many years and my favourite villain was blueshogun. Sometime back in the early 2000's, I was signing up for an account somewhere, and I was going to use blueshogun, but it was already taken. So I just added a 96 at the end of it randomly. And so, I've been known by this nick for many years now...

um. my first name is jon. uh. my last name begins with the letter C. oh and uh. 2006 is my join date. yeah. i think.
edit - ok now that i think about it that sounds pretty boring. so here is the revised edition of my reason: i was in a bare handed fist fight with a vicious man eating prairie dog on top of that goodyear blimp to you sometimes see flying around each year at the superbowl, and after beating it with one hand tied behind my back (of course), i stole its wallet and assumed its identity after dropkicking it off and laughed as i watched it fall to its death. and then i had a beer. next day actually i ran into that same prairie dog on the freeway while driving to work, he was pretty pissed so i tried to help him get a job as a real estate agent for coldwell banker. but since i stole his identity and didnt really tell him about it, he was considered to be a rather suspisious looking man eating prarire dog when he couldnt produce a valid identification card, so he ended up being detained by the FBI and they came in and deported him back to whatever that place is that man eating prarire dogs come from.

I only use two usernames on the web so I am easy to find.
First is here DB7, which is taken from the Aston Martin DB7 which will be the first car I buy when rich (followed swiftly by a yellow Volkswagon Beetle). The other is...well that would be telling =)

De ja vu, I feel like we've all explained our nicks before:P Anyways, mine originates from about 5 years ago. I was often refered to as Hobo, due to my homeless man like atire and general temperment, and of course most of the people I knew then took drugs one form or the other, so i tried some magic mushrooms(magic mushrooms yay!) and the name grew from there. I think it was really clinched, when i was playing Tony haws, one of the old game levels put into the new game, and I thought, old tony hawks > Ollie the magic bum, and the rest is history

Mine was random choice. One of the first things I did when I got internet was joining a IRC channel for my town, where most of the "friends" who had internet used to be. After a few poor choices I ended up with "INiX" (can't remember where I got it from, I think I based it in the pokemon Onix, but with a I at the beginning, or smth like that), and I liked it, but it seems there used to be some girl who used that nickname, so I got lots of PMs from guys asking if I was her, and that was annoying, so I ended up changing nicknames to the first random one that didn't sound horribly lame, and ended up with GiGaHeRz (the T sounds lame in it), then later got used to say it without the caps, so I'm usually gigaherz now.

MetaLife, Inc. (intro) SubGaea (intro) Crow Blade (intro for now) Memories - Prayer from the fallen hearts. My weblog... not like if there was too much to read on it tho. For anyone interested, there's a mirc script which converts "/me 's" into " * nickname's whatever" and adds a nice "/my" command. |

I'll try: the first part may come from Cid Corman, the American poet or Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, also known as El Cid Campeador, a Castilian nobleman. As for the 'Highwind' part, it may to have something to do with the country of your origin. As we know, Netherlands is a low-lying country, so you probably get winds that blow high

Para from Parallax, and Tech from Techrat, which is what they called Vo Tech students at the 'home schools' in Venango County.
![]() I had used Techrat previously, but getting some "naughty" ROMS back in the 1999 era before the 3 year MAME rule came into play, I changed it to reflect Hal Jordan going bad, I saw a similarity. ![]() I try to behave better now, but I like the nickname. ![]() I still think I use Techrat at at least another forum.
