CAD vs USD

If you've kept up with recent news, the Canadian dollar has finally matched the United States dollar! Because of that, I'm very tempted to order in some computer parts and not pay through the nose because of the price conversion...any other fellow Canucks thinking the same ?

Well, at least ebay would seem a bit cheaper

Still, I think that my local hardware store (memory express) is pretty cheap already

If the economy here gets too bad, I'll move to canada, vancouver island that is. The non-western parts of Canada are too cold for me!

EDIT: Speaking of canada, what TV format do you Canadians use? NTSC or PAL?

Just don't come to the middle, we have the most bizarre weather year round . I was reading the paper on this today and apparently most places of business who deal frequently with Canadian customers haven't changed their price conversions all that much... Some are still in the high 80s low 90s cents CAD for 1USD.

I'll have to browse some items I'm eyeing on Ebay and see how much the different the prices are .

Vancouver island is good, probably the only place that the weather is bad are the praire provinces (like where I am in). Here, you could sometime experience 4 types of weather in a day.

I am not sure if it still stands right now, but I remember that when you want to travel from vancouver island to vancouver, it gets really expensive (due to the ferry service).

Or the Netherlands. Getting a 40% discount on items ought to make up for shipping costs

Technically, yes. However, there's the surcharge to convert the currencies...so

[23:04:15] <Neverm0re> of course, some are over exagerated like miretank who has an afro

Don't worry, there's always someone worse off than you are. A certain Scotsman would wave away your complaints

Now p2p is legal and pot is 60% legal in canada. Plus an 18-20 year old can go out with a 17 year old here without getting chemically castrated.
