NGEmu Facebook Group

dxn suggested creating a group on Facebook for emu vets. I didn't think it'd draw enough membership, so I just made one for this site in general.

Anyway, it's global. So, search and find it if you want to join.

Why all these ngemu groups keep coming up every once in a while? Should an NGemu Gaiaonline group be expected soon ?
Thats no serious traffic bringer, so why the extra presence ? Fqcebooks looks just like a myspace clone

It's just something different...more personal I guess. I met some interesting people on this site that I keep in contact with outside of the forums on a regular enough basis. A couple I even met IRL. Just trying to network is all.

Well, nothing wrong with new ways of meeting others in the scene. I'll search for it and get in. Afterall, in emulation, it's good to know everyone that you can, as sometimes the biggest things are known to only a few people.

Everyone should have their profiles private at the very least then.
People from the emu scene, never mind coders/reversers make for formidable targets for anyone who would want to target them.

i believe myspace allows to decorate profiles with html and css, and Facebook looks like only allowing plain text, so myspace looks more attractive already, but god only knows how many times even myspace garnered criticisms here. There also seems to be gaping privacy concerns as well.

Well, the idea of *any* NGemu groups looks cool, but more focused (or geographically local) groups probably would be more desirable, like gaming clans and so. That would probably provide an incentive to join the community, and empower NGemu even further. Not a bad thought if you ask me
