Well, games are region locked, however, with a custom firmware, imports will work just fine. Just be sure to get one that's downgradable and get one soon, as stock for downgradable PSP's is diminishing quickly.

actually... Firmware 3.50 cracked - PSPGN - Sony PSP news, games, downloads, hacks, & more! I know nothing about PSPs, but a quick google search turned up that 3.50 can be cracked ;p Oh.. that doesn't neccesarily mean it's down-gradeable.. I'd liek a PSP sometime, so I can play PSX games on the move... |

spartan117 : The main point for downgrading to 1.5 is to be able to flash to a custom firmware, in which enables you to : - Use game backups - Enable use of homebrew such as emulators. - Play PS1 games on your PSP.

It "should", i got one in the giga pack, however the other one from value pack did not came with the cable. Btw: when you downgrade to 1.5 then upgrade to custom firmware (i suggest 3.40 OE-A), you will keep all the functionality and gain support for hombrew, backups and PSX games.

I was wondering, with 3.30 OE-A do you still need to have two folders for homebrew, you know like "insert hombrew folder name here" and "insert hombrew folder name here%"? I think I remember reading something about having the option to hide the corrupted data symbols in the game menu, or am I imagining it?

Yeah, two directories are still needed, but as you said you can hide corrupted icons: Go to recovery menu (hold R at startup) -> Configuration -> "Hide corrupt icons".

PSP games are region free, UMD movies on the other hand are region locked. Depending on the application you might not need to have 2 folders as the newer apps are created with custom firmwares in mind and some of the older work just fine under the CFW without the need for kxploit.
