So lets see... First i need to find something that can downgrade it to 1.5 Then i have the option to upgrade it to a custom firmware i choose?

Pretty much, I recently downgraded my psp and it is quite easy, well the non-GTA exploit method I used was easy, luckily i was only on fw 2.6 so I could upgrade to 2.71 and then downgrade. When/if you get one, this will help [Guide] The Ultimate downgrader guide - [All Downgradable Firmware] - QJ.NET Forums(Thanks again Hyuga ) Hope it helps, it helped me anyway, that and the advice of Hyuga, but as long as you follow the guide to the letter, you should be fine when/if you a get a psp and if/when you downgrade it.

My mistake. I'm always mixing that up. Yes, UMD movies are region locked and the game aren't.

Good point Hyuga, as usual you seem to know best Im actually donwloading the 1.8 update for my ps3 as Im positng this, I found an unofficial mirror on ps3-hacks.com, that supports resume! SO I can do a bit each day, but now that I've learned the ps3 sdk is leaked, how long before we get firmware like for the psp? With hombrew, and HDD loaders an all kinds of other un-official good-ness! I dont know if I want to update just yet, I mean, is 1.5 a good fw version for the ps3 in terms of how easy it is to use for hombrew etc? Sorry, off topic but still, Im not sure...
