Anyone ever heard for the game character Walter Sullivan?...
I must say the that guy is the most sick guy in all games I ever played.Walter Sullivan was born in 1970. year in the town of Ashfield in room 302 of the South Ashfield Heights apartment building.Just after his birth,his parents fled the apartment and left the newborn child behind,believing his birth to be unnatural.The infant was later discovered by the building superintendent,Frank Sunderland,(last name reminds me on James Sunderland),who turned the child over to the nearby St. Jerome's Hospital.After stay in the hospital,he became a ward of the state and was turned over to the Wish House orphanage in town Silent Hill.It was there that he began his tutelage in the ways of The Order,the cult that operated the orphanage.In time,after learning of his tragic birth,the Sullivan gradually started to believe that Room 302 itself was his mother,and the child started making weekly trips to Ashfield to visit "her" much to the dismay of the apartment's current residents.During his late adolescent years,he learned of the "21 Sacraments," an obscure ceremony in the Order's teachings that Walter could use to "awaken" his "mother".It was only a short while later during this time that he briefly encountered a young Eileen Galvin,who gave him one of her precious dolls in an act of pity,which he kept close to him ever since.When Sullivan was about 21-22, he began his killing spree, murdering 10 people in as many days, removing their hearts and carving the numbers 01121-10121 into their bodies. He made no effort to cover his tracks, even going as far as to carve his own name into the flesh of his victims. He was captured and tried, and was thought to have committed suicide by stabbing himself in the neck with a metal soup spoon and severing his own carotid artery while in prison. And though "he" was buried in an unmarked grave near the Wish House, three days later, a man fitting his description was seen exiting Room 302 of the South Ashfield Heights apartment building.

It is later revealed in the game that Walter's actual place of death was within the walls of Room 302 where he performed a ritual called the "Holy Assumption" arguably to free himself from the law of the natural world and to create one of his own.

Three years later, another body was found, killed in a very similar manner to Sullivan's previous victims and the police suspected a copycat, though the heart was not removed, nor was a name carved into the body. Police investigated Walter's grave and discovered there was no body found inside and that numbers, 11121, were carved into the coffin. Two more bodies surfaced over the next few years carved with the numbers 12121-14121 and a man went missing from room 302 shortly after. What the police failed to realize was that the numbers, 01121-14121, actually meant 01/21-14/21, meaning that Sullivan intended to kill 21 victims in all.

Through the Order's teachings, Sullivan believed that the deaths of these 21 victims would help free his "mother," Room 302, and wake her up again so that he could live within her "womb" once more, safe from the world that terrorized him. In the game, most of his victims appears as ghosts.It's enough that you just look at his face and you will immediately see what kind of a sick guy he is.I mean...he is an interesting character in the game,but who the hell would be so sick?!!Also the story is very interesting and good.But something doesn't make sense...if Walter Sullivan...killed him self...I mean when he committed suicide by stabbing himself in the neck with a metal soup spoon.......how the hell Henry can see him alive??And did he have big influence on ALL what is happening to the town Silent Hill?............

Never try to make sense of anything in Silent Hill. I've tried, but I could never really figure any of it out. I think that Silent Hill 4 was the weakest sequel in the franchise. I would have thought that it may have been an ok game if it was seperated from the Silent Hill series. It doesn't quite match up when you compare it to the other games. I have high expectations when it comes to anything with the Silent Hill name attached to it.

It was a different game then Konami decided to launch it as a SH game as they thought it wasn't enough to live on his own as a new franchise.

One question though. I thought the man who has gives a doll in SH3 and leaves letters to Heater was Sullivan. Is the same?

Silent Hill isn't that complicated if you beat all 4 games and follow the story closely. Sure, some parts don't make sense. But you have to keep in mind that it's intentionally made to be confusing and some things will never make sense. After all it's Silent Hill. Wouldn't be fun if it all made sense.

Anyway,what's the best silent hill you ever played? 1,2,3 or 4?
To me it's 2. 3 is also VERY VERY good,more scary,but silent hill 2 is the best to me because you do not start in that town "Silent Hill" immediately.You need to come there on foot. =P

First time I played sh2 was on my own, in the pitch black at around 11 at night, and that was fairly freaky, especally the woods at the begining, I havent got any other ones but it is weird enough for me.
