indeed, what you are doing is called flame baiting, and it is an unwelcomed attitude in most boards. You might want to create your own thread when you discuss such matters.

On the random recommendation corner, for those of you who liked series like Card Captors Sakura, but haven't found anything good from the lighthearted adventure genre recently, I suggest you to watch the currently ongoing Shugo Chara. Nice character relationships, interesting interactions, and a nice premise. Nothing too serious though, but nice for getting an lighthearted feeling.

Actually that's what I tried to prevent if you didn't notice, and I don't think it would be a good idea to create a new thread for discussing something this irrelevant.

I'm not stirring up trouble, just curious as to why you have those feelings It's one thing to say you don't care for something, but using the word disgusted gives it whole different meaning. But I'll digress, this isn't what the topics about

I didn't mind CCS (hey, I was like 13 when I started watching it ) but I thought it had a bit too much...crying in it. I know it's directed more towards the female population, but it had so much wishy washy moments in it that I wanted to hurl. If it wasn't for the interesting encounters, I would've give up on it. The movies however, were amazing. Even to this day, they're one of my favorites.

Anyone have any anime ideas, it has been almost a year since I watched anything! I can't find anything good these days But I do miss my anime watching. Pretty much anything except mechs, goes, I hate those ugly metal creations.

Hmm... maybe if you posted some of the series you have liked the most so that we can give some better suggestions. My personal Top 5 include some series that seem to put most people to sleep

Was Maria Sama ga Miteru one of your top 5 Proto?

It's not gonna get into my favourites (I guess I am more of an action junkie), but it's most certainly one of the better little 13ep series I have seen. I am actually enjoying watching atm XD. Will probably finnish it tonight. Just watched the red card ep yesterday.

Well, I do want your favourites. I am a little bit lost as what I want to see now. My favourites include (fav) school rumble (fav) , fruits basket, and hellsing. (and probably some I forgot ) But I have been reccomended a lot of likewise series, and I didn't really find any others I like. So anything goes I guess! I am very high demanding, if a series hasn't caught me by the sixth episode I ussually give it up.

Mmm with good these days, do you mean recent anime or including old anime?

As for some anime i like:

- Seirei no Moribito
- Claymore + manga
- Code Geass
- Genshiken
- Ghost Hunt
- Saiunkoku Monogatari
- Junni Kokuki
- Scrapped Princess
- Tsubasa Chronicle
- Nodame Cantabile

Anime that has been recommended to me numerous times, but haven't got around watching:
- Fantastic Children
- Baccano

Don't know which anime you saw already or not, but i would think animes like Code Geass and Claymore wouldn't of escaped the average anime viewer attention.

Watching Ghost Hunt myself now. And i think it's been said before here. And i will do it again. Good anime, very interesting, i would recommend it to anyone who isn't afraid of a bit mystery/horror/detective.

As for my current personal favorite.
- Full Metal Panic/Fumoffu/TSR
- Seirei no Moribito
- Aria the Animation/Natural
- School Rumble/Ni Gakki
- Nodame Cantabile

Though i might have to revise the list, as i really feel i'm not giving some anime enough credit by not including it in. Anime like Saiunkoku Monogatari to just name one.

Damn my favourite anime list is really limited compared to everyone else's XD....

I guess my anime tastes are somewhat childish XD

Let's See.

1. Trigun
2. Last Exile
3. Samurai 7
4. FMA
5. Gundam Wing.
6. Gundam SEED and SEED Destiny (I am grouping them as they follow each other and basically make up a 100ep series)
7. S-cry-ed
8. Blue Gender
9. Love Hina
10. Tenchi Muyou GxP

Most of those contain awesome action and mechs though XD so it's not really helpfull to you I guess Chankast. (Anything Gundam obviously has mechs...so ignore Nr.5 and Blue Gender also has em. Whilst Tenchi Muyou GxP not directly a mech anime...it does have a mech in it...)

If you liked Hellsing then you may like Trinity Blood btw...it would be one of my favourites if it was not a Trigun clone.

1 word:

Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann
(or smth, it's not even one word)

I've only watched up untill eps 17... but i suppose this one is ... going to make a run for my all time nr 1, even competing with Code Geass. This one is the top when it comes to being kickass. They use EVERY cliche they could find, and i love it

Mechas + Action + Action + Way of the top Action + More Mechas + kickass dudes ....
...
... and even more mechas and action.

Did i mention the action really beats ANY anime hands down. Sorry luffy, Sorry Naruto, Sorry Ichigo, sorry anyone who wants to be an action hero, you all really lose this one. By a big margin. BIIIIIG margin. There's no series that even comes close.

There, i've said it. Now you all are obligated to watch this one, you won't regret it

I didn't like Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann, and don't understand why other people do...

i stopped watching after 5~6 episodes...

if you want mecha try a Gundam Series, if you like comedy try School Rumble, if you like romance try Eureka Seven.

It's just because it slaps all those in the face. They don't try to be original. Heck, all they do has been done already. But why not do it like it should?

Gundam = Too Serious, School rumble = too little mecha, Eureka Seven = Where's the kickass?

On mecha, TTGL really beats gundam hands down with originality imho

Excel Saga?

No way....whilst it's rip offs were good there's much better out there...it starts good...then becomes lame...then becomes good...then it suddenly gets a story in the last 3 eps and proceeds to further fail miserably.
