You also missunderstood me, I did not mean that every anime should be anime original, I meant that if it's based on a manga then it should first have enough of a base...not start creating the anime after the first volume is complete (as FMP-TSR is so very short)...
Then you misunderstood me as well o_o I was just meaning that it wasn't too bad, and it was to a point good if they adapt small parts of the original story as long as they keep faithful to the original. Not every franchise can survive without financial support The only series that i can think of the top of my head that waited till the manga was over, that waited a long 8 years was monster, which beggined serialization in 1996, but it wasn't until 2004, when it was over, when the anime series started. But that was because the mangaka was already famous and well supported.

About NGE... well what can I say. Personally I like it a lot, it is highly pretentious, however I can understand why it is so acclaimed. It is nowhere my top series, however I will always remember it as the series that revolutionized anime, and that made many people realize that anime had a potential beyond brute mecha fights

I am not saying the manga has to be complete, just that it has to have enough finnished to keep to series going for AT LEAST one 26 episode season. In other words the anime that has been made should not feel aborted it should just feel and be on hold till it's time for the next season.

Wait...you mean there's more to anime than mechs??? ...seriously though that is I am pretty sure one of the number one attractions to anime...people simply love mechs.

Also on the note of manga being turned into anime, I wish Trigun Maximum could be turned into an anime (eventhough I believe the author does expressly not want that to happen).

O boy...I forgot how full of mistakes the Super Android 17 Saga of GT was...it pains me to watch it...but I do still want the stroll down memory lane so I shall continue...I just need to remember that I can watch the original DB after I finnish GT.

Even though I'm a bit late lol, I'll quote some interests.

Picking up the example of radix of FF7, I'll remind you have to watch the ova to get a full info of Zack and Cloud's past that wasn't successfully explained in the game. Even though I disagree with not complementing the story, I cannot be blind to the fact that if people have everything in the anime, why read the manga for example? Everything related has to be sold too. (Example: .hack sign)

My my complaint stems that it would seem since Evangelion Gainax hasn't been able to make one decent series, so they just won't Evangelion die.
You are correct, however, look at how many fans were incredibly excited with the new movies idea.

Ugh, I am glad that the Super Android 17 nightmare is finally over, now I just need to watch the Shadow Dragons and then I can move onto the original Dragonball.
It's actually quite interesting to watch the Shadow Dragons, they were on during my final year finals and I always fell asleep at the intro and woke up on the outro so I saw very little of that Saga...although I don't think it was only study fatingue that made me fall asleep back then XD.

I saw an awsome anime movie about 4 years ago. Only problem is that it was many years ago and I don't remember almost anything about it. It was one of my favorite movies. It had something to do with the future, giant robots, and the main character was a young teen or man (don't remember exactly). Please gives suggestions. Thanks.

Neon Genesis Evangelion? Sorry its not a movie...

Well, your hints don't really help much as almost all anime that has something to do with the future have giant robots and ususally a young man as protagonist, well sometimes its a girl... Anmything else you remember, maybe some other key elements, names, characters, etc?

I do remember that the robots where activated by the peoples handprints and the people controled the robots. It was a anime movie not a series, but thanks for the attempted guess. My memories kind of foggy so it's hard to remember many details, but if I got some info on it, I'm sure I would remember.

Hmm, that doesn't ring a bell for me... But if it really is many years back when you saw it I kinda understand that its foggy, I have a movie(Real actors, not anime) that I only have one part that I remember and that's all, I'd really like to see it tho...

Just watched the first 4 episodes of higurashi no naku koro ni... Damn the creepiest anime I've ever seen!!! But it sort makes you wanna know more... Thanks for suggesting it, I don't think I would've found it otherwise!

I have not quite seen all of them yet. But sofar it's:

#1 Bojack Unbound
#2 Wrath of the Dragon
#3 take your pick...after that they are all equally crappy...I suppose the first one with Broly as it's the first DBZ movie I saw...or History of Trunks would win if quite a lot of it would not already have appeared in the series.

(Sorry I don't remember the numbers)

Maybe once I watch some of the others that I have now (which will only happen once I finnish GT, Dragonball and DBZ in that order) that list will change.

With the coming of a new season, the more die hard anime watchers here have probably been looking at the offer for this season.

Any anime that seems interesting for you guys?

My pick for this season is probably going to be:

- Shigofumi
- Rosario + Vampire
- Aria the ORGINATION
- and either H2O or True Tears. Though my current preference goes towards True Tears.

So what are you guys gone pick? Any must watch from the new season?

To be truthful I hadn't thought about what will I been watching for this season, save for ARIA, Gunslinger Girl (man I loved the first season when I watched it some years ago) and Minami ke Okawari. If I have time time I'll watch the first season of Sisters of Wellber and then watch the upcoming second season. Hatenkou Yuugi and Hatenkou Yuugi are another possibility., Other than that there is not much that is picking my interest.

Well, by quickly browsing through ANN's latest list I think H2O, Minami Ke Okawari and Kanokon seem interesting...

I'm pretty bad at knowing new anime shows, most I've started watching are because I heard them here or because I just browse through the lists at ANN and look for something that hits the eye... Where do you get all your knowledge? Share me your wisdom...

You might want to check a site like Random Curiosity. Every time a new season comes by they do a preview article on the upcoming series.

Actually, I checked out quite a few
Rosario + Vampire
Koharu biyori (holy crap)
H2O ~ Footprints in the Sand
Kodomo no Jikan
They all got some noticeable (ahem) fanservice, specially Koharu biyori with its extreme ecchi (and a bit loli too).

I'm picking up those for the current season for now ^^ As well as Minami-ke Okawari, of course.

O well I finnished DBGT and the ending cracked me up again...I am just way too sentimental. I hate final goodbyes regardless of who is making them, even on TV they crack me up most of the time...as this does.

Anyways onward to Dragonball.
