, haven't seen the movie yet, but I heard it's rather bad compared to the series...

its different... not bad.. just different. (thats how i approach all movie spin offs)

Also Eureka 7 has one of the best comical (filler or whatever it is) episode (i mean the football one) in animes. (you know how serious anime shows have at one point a episode solely based on comedy).

And eureka 7 has a movie ??? *goes googling* has to see

I remember there being some really funny episode around ep 40~.
