Well, Black Lagoon is pretty nice... Its not excactly dark but it has pretty cool action and is pretty close to earth for an anime as well, excluding the action scenes but you see that in any action movie nowdays...

The other guys already mentioned Trigun and Hellsing(note, NOT VAN HELSING!!!) which are also great.

Seems pretty nice though... Why did they have to make that little girl, Maria I think the one in my avatar, that annoying??? I mean Rika did keep saying "Nipaa!" every now and then but not constantly... I hope she dies fast!

Wasn't the first season 13 eps + 2 OVAs and then the second season which was another 13 eps? Could seriously use a third season...

Is it just me or has the latest episodes of Haruhi seem....like the animation has been polished? Like Kyoto Animation has invested a little more? Could just be me, but some scenes have a slight "blurring/hdr effect".

But anyway, I think Kyon has a thing for Nagato.

Here's an example of both.
