i didn't use spoiler tags because i think its supposed to be 'known' that Mogi and "Papa" have that kind of relationship.
since i'm not japanese, and not familiar with Enjo Koasai, i wasn't aware.
but i bet it would be obvious if i grew up in japan, and was familiar with it.

if its not supposed to be known, then i'm sorry about spoiling it. but it talks about it in the first few episodes of second stage, so it shouldn't be much of a spoiler for you

anyways, i finished watching episode 6 and its a great episode.
very emotional and touching (not going to spoil what happens).
its one of my favorite episodes so far (my other favorite was the last episode of season 1, that was badass).

I just finished ep 5 XD, btw i love what they did whit the animation in the second stage its fantastic XD, this anime just get from perfect to more perfect it may actually overtake Gundam Seed XD

yeah the animation/visuals is much improved in second-stage (most notably the 3d car races)
also did you notice Ryosuke Takahashi's change of hair color?

someone told me that Initial D gets better in terms of animation AND content in every season.
so it looks like things will just keep getting better and better xD

You where right on the emotional part in ep 6, one of the best in the series, btw since you were talking about change did you also noticed the big change in takumi's best friend dont know but he looks very different in the second stage also more chubby.

yeah he does look different.
Takumi is also noticeably different (for example, they emphasize his blue eyes now, in season 1 i didn't even notice he had blue eyes xD)

darn i just noticed second stage is only 13 episodes (i thought it was 26)

wow epic pwnage at the end of episode 8.

lol i thought you was refering to Ryosuke and that EVO3 freaks race when you said epic pwnage, though now i know what you meant indeed that was epic pwnage

Edit: ep 9 start guy reunited with car emotional dad/guy talk dont know had a good emotional feeling/atmosphere. And the car seems to sound differently now more aggressive, cant w8 to see the first race XD.

Edit 2: the New Levin looks sexy the one with turbo ^^

Indeed its simple it doesnt seem to have anything out of the ordinary (also considering how old it is) yet it hooks you like drugs

, its unique.

PS: I'd hit Kasumi in the derier best looking gal i seen in Initial-D so far.

I always thought it was her stepdad and the reason why he was always giving her lots of money is cuz he's always away on business.

(and with rightful reasons, wtf is she doing going out with some middle aged guy giving her gifts...)

anyways, I'll have to see what becomes of their relationship in future episodes...

Actually from there conversation (Mogi's and the middle aged man, let not forget the letters) it seems a lot more then just going out and gifts, there could be some bed action to (i mean this from a analyzing point of view not from my normal ecchi self) .

Grr. I think I was wrong. It may have just been a rumor. I can't find the source from where I read that a second season was greenlighted.

Well I always saw that as a bit of a big missunderstanding.

Anyways I finnished E's Otherwise and it was awesome...but the ending was a horrible let-down as so often in anime. Around 90% of the questions the story had posed where left unaswered, barely even hinted at....such a major pity...it could have been one of my favourites...in fact it was so awesome that it might still end up one of my favourites.
It was also pleasant to see energy attacks without names.
As I said before it's closest to s-CRY-ed but if not for the dysmal ending it would be far better as the story was much deeper and interesting.
