I remember a couple lady friends of mine trying to get me to watch Binbou Shimai Monogatari. Slice of life animes really aren't my thing though, the only way for me to watch them is if I'm completely bored

I really like slice of life cause it really puts me in a good mood. It mellows me out and most of the slice of life I've seen is realistic.

More than being slice of life, that is the cheesiest and most sugary series I've ever seen (in a good sense though). I like it a lot though, but I would only recommend it to the most hardcore slice of life lover.

For a more watchable and upbeat semi slice of life series that is more jumpy, or got something else to spice up the series I'd recommend Kurau Phantom Memory, or one of my personal favorites, Figure 17.

have you watched Honey and Cover or Nodame Cantabile?
the latter is one of my favorites.

anyways, i'm having a problem now finding anime to keep my interests.
i just don't have the motivation to keep watching alot of the series i've started. they either start getting repetitive/predictable/ or boring.

hmm i guess i'll try searching for another anime to watch.
going to try a shojo/josei next probably.

edit:
can someone help me identify these anime:

Yep, Kurau Phantom Memory is certainly worth a look. Not one of my favourites due to the ending/uncleared confusion but still a nice series.

You can't tell with this show after just an episode...in fact you can't tell after just a couple of episodes...at the start it all seems like a really light and horribly obvious story just based around random action, only much much later the depth starts getting revealed and the the awesomeness unfolds.

@cottonvibes:

First one is onee sama ni koi s.hiteru
second one is Stellvia of the universe (this one is really good, in special the care they put to make the physics of a space anime solid and logical).
Third one is Kanon 2006. One of KyoAni's Key adaptations (alongside Air and CLANNAD, watch it if you want something to touch your hearthstrings
Fourth one is Kyou no Go no ni (from the creator of Minami ke)

Yes, angela got one of the most original and catchy voices in the anime industry. Some examples

Stellvia opening:

Shikabane Hime

Asura Crying

The last two are fairly medicre series that are made watchable just because of Angela's OP and ED which pump you for the episode

Ah, Fafner. The one anime that killed my favorite character in few first episodes. Love the opening songs, but I like the ending song even better. Um... can't remember the name of the song X(

random anime thought:

anyone remember the bad-ass scene from Gundam Wing, where Heero is told to abort the mission and self-destruct his gundam so it doesn't fall into enemy hands.
And then he just says something like "understood", and self-destructs with himself still in the gundam.

...idk. i was just reminded of that awesome scene xD
