Btw about Lucky Star. For the once that has watched it. What do you think of it? Personally the first episode was a bit dull... More like really dull... The talk about the food wasn't funny and the rest of the show didn't really got me laughing either. The only thing i found funny was the girl talk about her MMORPG friends/adventures. And the animation was a bit below what i expected. Even as a side project. All in all Lucky star has a really cheap feeling to it.
Well indeed the part about the food was quite dull. About the art I was told that they are just trying to keep it similar to the manga. (You can see KyoAni level art with the brillian palette and such, but it seems they want to keep the designs simple.) Ep2 was quite better than the first IMHO, so you might want to check that one before passing final judgment

Episode 2 is better than episode 1 because of the anime references and the show focused more on Konata.

(Or maybe the fact I am getting use to the pacing of the show.)

Naruto, of course.

Ninja Gaiden - Plot Summary: On a dark, late night in New York City, Ryu is chased and attacked by assassins. After disposing of them, he finds an I.D. card for the Friedman Company. The next day, it is announced that Dr. Ned Friedman has discovered a cure for cancer. But after providing no information at his press conference, a reporter named Sarah decides to investigate with the help of her friends Robert and Jeff. When passing by Dr. Friedman's house one day, Ryu hears the voice of a young girl calling for help. When Sarah and her entourage investigate the house as well, they run into their colleague, Ryu. Upon that, they discover Dr. Friedman has been conducting experiments on live humans using biotechnology, and that it may have something to do with the power of the Evil Gods, whom Ryu had defeated in the past. But when Ryu's friend, Irene, is kidnapped, he must dawn his role as a Dragon Ninja once again to defeat this new enemy and save her.

I saw it and it was 50 minutes. I liked it.

Full Moon wo Saga****e (満月をさがして)

the show has a good premise. A girl who wants to be a singer is dying of throat cancer and a couple of death gods she isn't supposed to be able to see inform her she has a year before her death and their job is to make sure she comes without a struggle.... unfortunately the show kinda dumps from there. the death gods provide too much comic relief into the show and unfortunately becase we know she won't die for a year we never get the sense of impending doom when ever she starts to have spasms.
Spoiler:
even at the end you when she is supposed to die you never think it's going to happen because the show is too encouraging and light hearted
. unfortunately there are alot of anime out there that seem to be put out simply to be encouraging in order to stop the high rate of preteen/teen suicide in japan and this one seems to be one of them. It could have taken a more serious approach and would have benefited from a deeper story line.

edit gotta love those sensor programs to keep words like saga****e from being seen :P

Well I haven't seen past the manga's first two volumes, but it has this reputation of being one of the best girl's series out there so maybe it just wasn't your cup of tea. Which series are the ones you've enjoyed the most?

the funny thing is i'm mostly in to the romance ones since they usually have a fairly decent story lines... and i love the "misunderstandings" . This one just came out subpar to me.

i've got a grudge against ninja gaiden. i've played all the NES ones and never managed to beat a single one of them. the cheapness factor in those games is off the scale

In that case, I'm sure you'll love the recent sereis Bokura ga Ita. Saiunkoku Monogatari is another recent series you might like, and it has the plus/minus that it is sset in pseudo-ancient China, so you might like that. For series that are a little older you might like Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Kare Kano, and others I might not remember right now

At any rate, what's your overview of Ranma 1/2?
I've seen it long ago, can't remember quite well, but I recall to have enjoyed it.
Any points of view?

It's suppose to be cheap...that's what makes it so funny. The beginning of episode 1 with the runners' lower body drawn in good detail....and then it turned into cell-shaded character designs...

I just think it's so cute :3

Just some reviews from the series I'm watching right now:

If you liked series like Monster or Infinite Ryvius, Mushishi (and to a lesser extent Death Note) where you are pulled in by the serious approach the series takes when explaining itself, then I absolutely recommend you to watch Bokurano. If I had to describe the feel of it, I would say it is like Infinite Ryvius, without the space aspect. Other than that, it has everything I love from a series. A big, well developed cast involved into an epic story. Recommended.

For the ones that liked Juuni Kokki and Saiunkoku Monogatari, the new series Seirei no Moribito seems like a pretty promising series set in the ancient China. The plus/drawback is that it isn't as focused in the political/romance aspect as it is on the adventure, keeping the same focus on the character interrelationships.

Just done watching Juuousei

For info about it.
http://anidb.info/perl-bin/animedb.p...anime&aid=4226

One of the best looking anime i saw from 2006. And i really enjoyed it. Good anime with enough character development and plot twists for a 11 episode anime. Only thing i dislike is how the ending turned out. But that's really personal.

I would recommend this anime to anyone to

Some screenshot of Juuousei below.

Right now I am watching Reideen, the anime is pretty standard "mysterious big robot" fare, the thing that keeps me watching is the mech design of the "giant beasts" and Reideen itself.

I finished Eureka 7.. its simply the best anime series i've seen. Why?:

1. It's a LOT different from most other series in terms of characters, plot development and story line. Lets just say it ain't the "typical" anime series.

2. E7 Combines all my fav genres together for a high emotional and revolutionary series. It's a combination of sci-fi, romance, action, intense emotions and philosophy. This series is especially great for those who want to see romantic anime. It's a lot diff because the main protagonists have good times and bad times; but they manage. What makes it really good is that Renton and Eureka don't "beat around the bush" as much in their relationship. However, in other series like inuyasha and bleach, the characters only show hints of love. They rarely actually tell em face to face and all.

3. Quite a few cute females in this series. Eureka is of course one, but along with her comes: Anemone, Sakuya, Gidget, Ray Beams, and Diane Thurston. I didn't add Talho cause she's more of a "sl*t" imo.

4. One of very few anime series where the story line is basically completely altered from the manga series. It makes things more interesting.

Anyways, here is my rating:

Sound/Music/Voices: 10/10,
Has GREAT music, lots of trance, and the background music really fits in and heightens emotions. I thought "niji" was the perfect song for the last episode.

Characters: 8.5/10,
Some characters look a bit... funny. I would have loved to see a few fixes on characters, but thats ok with me. Eureka looks really cool, specially in the middle and end of the series. Kawaii

Storyline: 8/10,
IMO, i really loved the story line. I'm not gonna spoil it for ya, so won't elaborate. The story also varies depending on the person. Im my view, this is a very philosophical related series. Loved the story, but makes me cry sometimes. I wish they would elaborate more at the end though.

innovation: 10/10
As i mentioned above, this is a LOT different from most anime series. Maybe thats y pll dun like it :/

Total: 9.125/10
