Yep, a second season of Suzumiya Haruhi is on the way !

Anybody seen the new series Claymore yet? From the pictures I've seen, it looks pretty good. The story outline I've read is a bit cliche, but what series isn't nowadays ?

I watched the first chapter. The first episode looked quite clichèd indeed, but the manga readers say the story will pick up in some chapters...

Certainly, lol, they are just too hardworkers (ahem crazy) for that =P
But I'd like them to keep that on, I love their designs Also, they do very enjoyable series like SuzuHaru and Kanon =P

I finished Iriya no Sora and Vision of Escaflowne recently.
I liked them. How's your overall view of these two series?
These are the worst aspects of them: Iriya no Sora hasn't got much of romantic part there, it almost ends in the beginning. Vision of Escaflowne rushes the ending in my opinion.
They're like opposites right? Escaflowne has the action while Iriya no Sora is kind of passive.
Escaflowne has a very good story, a modern girl in some kind of ancient war culture is something that blinks the eye on you. :P
Iriya no Sora is a story about a pressured high school (soldier) girl, somewhat like evangelion without action.
Spoiler:
Didn't like that crap end... dying like that? Right after that confession? Bleargh! I'd rather have an happy ending.

Fate/Stay Night:
Spoiler:
Same for Fate/Stay Night

What's your opinions about them?

@Proto: I finished RoLW... and it sucks. Really boring anime.

Now watching "Witch Hunter Robin".

I kind of agree with your definition of Escaflowne (many of the character development at the end was forced to fit the ending IMHO), but about Iriya no Sora, I think the character development was quite right, for being an OVA series. What you see as passive, I see a series that is about the characters and how they react to a war world, not about the war world itself. If you liked the premise but you felt that the series was too short to make it justice, I would recommend you to watch Saikano.

Hunter X Hunter

My best Anime ever is "Hunter X Hunter", it's the best, from 1 to 10 I give it 20. there is TV series and 3 parts of OVA (Original Video Animation) series

besides it's not Licensed/Copyrighted (AFAIK), so you can watch them freely on the internet
try Welcome

And if you watched the last two parts OVA 2 and OVA 3, it's about a console game called "JOY STATION" with Real RPG life threatening adventures..
if Square-Enix create RPG with the Online capability, "The number of Items are limited, if another player logged from another place online, got that item you must meet him in the game and kill him to acquire it to finish the game.."

Eyes candy, some pics..

Hmm... well if you liked it you might be interested in the shounen series of the season: D.Gray man. Finally a shounen series when the protagonist is actually likable and rational (unlike a certain Naruto and Ichigo...)

I liked Hunter X Hunter, it was one of those series that didn't feel like it was a cheap knock off of something else. I've been keeping up with the manga and man, after the Greed Island story arc, the art for it is horrible. Like, half the drawings look like chicken scratches! I'm not exactly sure why, but I'm still reading it because the story is still damn good.

BTW I just received my Juuni Kokki: Sea of Shadows book yesterday. The translation was good from what I could tell, the first novel(the only one released so far) covers up to when Yoko made that first great achievement . I recommend it to anyone out there who liked the series

kasimasi

i really seem to know how to pick out ****ed up anime. kasimasi is about this infeminate guy whom gets hit by a space ship and the aliens reconstruct him... except as a girl and then it gets into this really strange lesbian love triangle story and the last episode really seems to drive in support for alternative life styles

Indeed, it surprises me you had the stomach to go up to the last episode. The story is kinda weak IMO, when you take aside all the "lesbian shock" factor you are left with a rehashed plot of what other series have already repeated countless times. The only reason I actually bored with it was because the 3 main characters where voiced by my favorite 3 voice actors. ^_^;

@Sephi: Ok sorry, I edited it so it doesn't it away anything Although it is something more or less important, it is not so big of a spoiler so you can be sure I haven't ruined the series for you ^_^; (but yeah, if you can forget it easily all the merrier ) BTW I'm glad you liked Aria well enough to use it as the theme for your sig. Have you got to watch the second season?

@Seta-San: Well it was an OVA extra made just to appease the fans who wanted a Tomari ending so you might attribute that as the reason for the idiotic script writting in that episode. Just make as if you never saw it and ep 12 was the final one

I haven't got around watching Aria the Natural. I have a habit of not wanting to watch anime that i haven't got all episodes of. Even though it doesn't matter for aria since it's not plot driven.

Il probably save aria for the next exams period. Aria is a anime that you can just watch and enjoy the episodes without being driven mad by wanting to know what happens next. Will do me good when i'm in my last exams period.

And about signature, i make a signature for about every anime i liked

Btw about Lucky Star. For the once that has watched it. What do you think of it? Personally the first episode was a bit dull... More like really dull... The talk about the food wasn't funny and the rest of the show didn't really got me laughing either. The only thing i found funny was the girl talk about her MMORPG friends/adventures. And the animation was a bit below what i expected. Even as a side project. All in all Lucky star has a really cheap feeling to it.
