hmm i tried watching Tsubasa Chronicle, but it was pretty bad.
especially the super-long arms, why did clamp draw them like that?

it was pretty much a torture to watch, i couldn't get passed episode 4.

Tsubasa Chronicles remind me of Cardcaptor Sakura, which was one of those good anime back then in the DBZ era... And i don't mind the stretch arms...but the super thin body is somewhat errr... But overall it's definitely not your ordinary or generic series

But Claymore season 2 better come out because I haven't seen such great fighting actions since DBZ!

I would really, really, REALLY, like I'm pointing a gun at your face really recommend you to read the manga. The anime was quite the controversial adaptation sadly with Bee Train's characteristic out of nowhere slow pace (the OVA doesn't suffer from this fate but its set in the middle of the plot), however the manga is IMHO the best CLAMP has done since CCS, and that is no exaggeration. Read it in tandem with xxxHolic, since they interwingle their plot and the series often answer questions from each other plot, another interesting concept.

In a good or a bad sense?

I watched Detroit Metal City at my friends place today and I have to say I was seriously mistaken when I decided not to watch it earlier this year when I was deciding what to watch! That anime was awesome! And not to mention hilarious! Haven't laughed that much within 3 hours since.....never!(as we watched all 12 episodes straight through) ...My chest kind of hurts though

It has VERY exclicipt language so if you know you don't like that, don't watch it... Especially if you hate heavy metal, even though it makes fun of heavy metal too! ...though it makes more fun of swedish (gay) pop!

Started Kimikiss pure rogue yesterday... I was looking for some slice of life comedy series that possibly didn't have too much drama in it so I ended up with this. Doesn't seem too bad though, one of the few high school romance comedies that seems to have been spared of cliched love-triangles that I know.

Hey Cotton, you should watch Fushigi Yuugi, I completely forgot to suggest it, but it's basically all about love.

Ranma is also basically a love story...a frustratingly long one which does not quite end up right though...still a great watch.
Inuyasha done by the same chick that did Ranma has the same deal going on...

Anyways I finnished Shadow Skill which became more and more epic as I watched it and then....inevitably fell flat in a giant anti-climax....hell the actual bad guy's identity was never even revealed...

Started watching Death Note now...I don't imagine I will be watching it very quickely though...on the one hand because I have tons of games to play and on the other because it seems very dark and heavy going...

The fact that you know that is pretty scary!

Started Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei... Another totally hilarious anime! First season completed and yesterday started the second, for some reason the second doesn't seem as good as the first one... Its kind of, confusing... And what's more, what the heck happened in the end of episode 11 of the first season?!? ...Or is this sort of the same as Hidamari Sketch is that the second season goes in between the episodes of the first season? Both are SHAFT anime and the art somehow resembles each other(the use of real images in midst of animated backgrounds) so I'm sort of wondering if that's the case...

I watched Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and it is one of the few series where I totally can't remember anything about it other than it had a refreshing style of humour.

Other than that, you might want to watch other series from the director Akiyuki Shinbo and SHAFT, which made both Hidamari Sketch and Zetsubou sensei. Other series famous for his weid style of direction are ef ~a tale of memories~ an to a minor extent the first Nanoha season

Well, I've seen Ef ~ a tale of memories and I'm watching Ef ~ a tale of Melodies, which is still running, I like them... But I just think the drama in "tale of melodies" is a little too "heavy" I liked the first season more. Its pretty strange that I like them at all, as I usually don't like dramas that go too "heavy"...

speaking of bleach, i caught up to the latest subs (i had taken a big break cuz i hated waiting 1 week for new episodes, so i waited till i had 40 episodes to watch )

anyways, the latest episodes are great!
finally its getting interesting again; i hope it continues to be this good.

i also hear from my brother that the latest naruto episodes are amazing; he says its gotten even better than bleach and they're improving the animation.
so i'm going to try catching up since i had taken a break from that as well.

i don't like the animation in Ranma 1/2 though.
Inuyasha had better animation, and cooler characters.

i also really don't like the plot of Ranma 1/2; a boy turning into a girl when cold water splashes on him just brings ridiculously predictable scenarios.
i can picture a million 'misunderstandings' in the episodes between characters, and i hate that stuff...

Looked it up on wikipedia (always like to look for new good anime's, ya see) and started watching it. I'm currently on episode 7, and I'm addicted! Also, the main character reminds me of Watanuki Kimihiro (main character of xxxHolic).

Well, just a warning as the second season gets weird. Its fun but I just can't seem to keep up with the events at times ...And to think I could keep up with excel saga and puni puni poemi! (<-couple of the craziest anime I know)

Haven't seen xxxholic but I've tought about watching it, the only problem is to find it...
