An electric Sports car?

Two things that i didnt think went together, electric and sports car. A new company called tesla motors has developed the "Tesla Roadster," a convertable sports car with 2 speed transmition, 0 to 60 in 4 seconds and 135 miles-per-gallon equvilant-- all run on Li-ion bateries. The company claims that it has a range of about 250 miles per charge and that the battery pack charges in 3 1/2 hours.

Its all quite unbelieveable but there is no shortage of documentation on their site, they have video reviews by yahoo and cnet, and an article by Popular Mechanics, plus a bunch of other places.

It also has a giant price tag, around $90k-$100k.....

omg an battery powered car!!!!!!! i think honda and gm should plan to pack their bags if more of these things at a leeser cost are produced. that car looks awesome i would do anything for that seen its specs it beats the current electric cars by a long shot even beats gasoline and natural ga cars by a huge margin in terms of eeficency
i would like more of these type released in the medium aka common segment of cars whose buyers are common people


when would it be brought to india
