movies you love to hate

What movies have you seen that are really, really bad. You cant say battlefield earth. I never watched all of it, but I heard it was rated the worst movie ever.

The movies I love to hate are:

2001: A Space Oddecy(boring, 'nuff said)

Highlander 2(stuped, mad no sence, dumb as hell, too much made up alien crap explaing why they could die[the mistery of why they didnt know why they couldnt die was interesting])

Jurassic Park 3(no plot, just running around from the dinos, raptors came in way to early, to much spinosourse[I hate that made up thing, it's too perfect], and the way there' rescued and how they fly away is a ripoff the first, that little **** kid who lived for 8 weeks with the dinos running arond[found it dumb cause trained hunters couldn't even live for 2 day with out turning into raptor chow])

I like Legend of Drunken Master more. It was a cool movie with even better fighting scenes.

It's late, and I am OUTA here

Wow... people have dissed two of my favorite movies of all time here.

2001 was an incredible movie, for several reasons.
1) HAL 9000 = coolest villain ever, if you can call him a villain.
2) Realistic portrayal of space travel... yes, Mr. Lucas, there is no sound in space.
3) Great, complex, intelligent plot.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon:
1) Awe-inspiring cinematography. Some of those shots of backcountry China were breathtaking.
2) Awesome fight scenes. Come on, people, they put the Matrix to shame.
3) A thoughtful and well-constructed plot.

As for the original question:
-Waterworld
-Anything with Freddie Prinze Jr. God, I hate that smirk of his. I'd love to smack him every time he does that.

Asfaloth: I wouldn't feel too bad about me dissing CTHD (I'd do a post about why I don't like it, but that might break the record for longest post). I was one of the ten people or so who liked Waterworld (although yes, there were a number of flaws in it).

I hated that John Travolta movie, "Battlefield: Earth or something like that. Yuck.

[edit] sorry, i didn't notice that battlefield earth wasn't to be mentioned. but it sure is crap, though.

Where the hell do I start

Well recently (ie summer) the worst movie had to be Pearl Harbour.

I agree. They pathetic attempt to imitate Titanic (love story within devastating caticlysm, death of main character, etc...) was just unjustified. Titanic sucked too. Out of this year's movies, I thought Tomb Raider, Cats and Dogs, and the Mummy Returns were all bad. Harry Potter was terrible (especially since it's been overhyped).

> Harry Potter was terrible

At least you can look forward to seven overhyped movie sequels.

what's funny is that most overhyped objects aren't what they seem to be. An example is MGS2, but it still could've been better. I hope FOTR won't turn out to be like this.

FotR hasn't been hyped much at all (except, of course, by LotR fans), at least in comparison to the two other items. Hopefully that's a good sign.

My sentiments exactly. It also suffered from A.A.H.S. (All Americian Hero Syndrome) just like most of Bruckheimer's movies (armageddon :eyes: )

Then there's the recent Arnie flicks. When are they going to relise the guy can't act?!?!?!
