Psx Romz!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am never sure whether to laugh or feel angry when I see these threads. Maybe if they called them psx iso's, and not ROMZ, then it would all seem a little less tiresome, but I really doubt it.
I notice that a lot of members here have very high postcounts. I have been coming here, on and off for over three and a half years, and I have only begun to regularly browse and post since about two or three weeks ago. I find it astounding, that each time I click on that "New Posts" link, that I see so many locked threads, usually asking for "PSX ROMS" or a generic "fps PCSX2" question. The PCSX2 questions are particularly puzzling, as you have to view a warning before entering the forum.

How do you people take it? How can you stay here for so long? Surely all of these idiots make it a tiresome place to come to in your free time...

we handle it barely, it drives us mods mad, plus it puts shame on the community because they think its an easy way around buying a console and games, plus it gives ngemu a bad name.

unfortunately we get idiots, weve tried everything we can to stop idiots posting these messages without making the forums difficult and tiresome to use.

But at the end of the day, me n the rest of the team can look forward to banning their asses

As for the idiots I know alot about them. I goof around Alot all the time on NG and IRC and that makes me feel good.Theres different kinds of imbeciles, some are good (tends to make you laugh with randomness.. "see my siggy ") and some are stupid as hell (psx romz, not looking up the rules ect.. ect..) I mean some people took some time to translate those rules for a good reason.

How can I stay here for so long? I've been like here for 6 years or so and never had so much fun

make sure you log on on IRC irc.efnet.net #ngemu (ooooh the cheap plug) to check out more on the iiiiiiinnnsiiiideeee and pee on Yeloazn once in a while.

I think if you'd read the 'why do you visit emuforums' thread you might understand it a bit better.

Sure we get a lot of newbs, and to be honest I had the feeling you were one of them too, looking at some of your first posts. Seeing this thread however makes me feel the quality of your posts has increased

There are a lot of these new people here asking for ISO's, BIOS's or posting things that are otherwise considered 'wrong'. Usually I just try to point them at the rules and make them see how what they posted is not tolerated, and after that I continue enjoying all the good stuff this place has to offer.

i dont know whether it's my twisted mind that loves to be tortured, or maybe i'm just a really nice guy, but i dont mind it. i swoop into the PCSX2 section just to close threads and post usernotes (im not much of a good PCSX2 helper) so i see all of the crap posts.

and i post a lot in the PSX section, as you can see. but if you browse around the PSX section, there are only two types of posts:

1. the normal post (which has two variations: A. their problem gets fixed with little hassle, B. their problem never gets fixed and 50 posts are wasted on it)
2. the n00b post. (containing something illegal, or some dumbass who asks how to switch discs)

i really dont mind. i like helping people. yeah, i deal with idiots every day. but it kind of provides a little therapy like, hey, im not as dumb as i thought! im not genetically deficient as some say i am! plus i love to have my fill of uninformed idiots, perfect engrish speakers, and people with flawed logic.

i think that the general crowd of NGEmu ain't so bad. come on over to #ngemu or #hushypushy (like nevermore said) and there is a friendly group of folks. it's so much better to hang around here than, say, Honda-Tech, which i abandoned because everyone was a one track loser douchebag cocksmoking ****hole.

another thing that i think of sometimes, about the PSX section, is "if i don't, who will?" i think a main reason that i got so interested in PSX emulation and started helping out so much two and a half years ago (or so) is because it was basically just Kane in the PSX section (with a few others, but rarely) and i kind of saw my opportunity to do something. as much as i like being the one man show that controls the universe, i appreciate when others help out (where the hell are you I-Chan?!?! at least n_w95482 is back). i invite anyone to hang around PSX discussion, help a little. and dont be afraid to let me correct you

I've got my own section to take care of , but sometimes I do take a look, and I must say that DBhankins is doing a great job of helping you at times. There are a lot of members capable of helping, including myself, however you seem to be the first one to reply to each thread, and most of the times I can not add anything, and it feels like spamming if I were to post exactly the same thing.

That did not go down well. I figured that seeing as the idea of emulating Final Fantasy X on a Psone would be so absurd that people would see the sarcasm. If it wasn't for Clements, I'd be on my way to being banned.

Its only natural. We cant have facial expressions in text, and those are VERY important when being sarcastic, or just BS talking. Smilies are there to fill that gap and keep fatal misunderstandings in minimum.

Refraction saw your low post count and saw you as a newbie and there is a high chance here that they will post such comments so cant blame Refraction for believing it anyway. Its kinda like a reflex action for the mods.

I see what you mean. It makes me most annoyed when I see threads, for noobs asking for help, and then people try to help the person, then later on he happens to mention, that he downloaded the game, and right there wasted everyones time that was trying to help him, and the thread ends up being locked.

Myself I try to observe and follow the rules, and read them occasionally to see if any have been updated, maybe once in a while, I might miss a rule, and make a mistake, but I paticulary pay the most attention to the most important rules, as in no illegal discussions, flaming and the such.

While I can say, I'm not perfect, I don't paticulary care for things that pertain to illegal activities, and it frusterates me when game, and software developers spend so much time devoloping software, to try to make it as good as they can, and then freeloaders go and pirate them.

Well I'm just going to say, I'm still here because I'm 1. Not mod or admin,
and 2. Sometimes I have a high tolerance level, although sometimes having a short fuse.
