Yeah I read about it.

I'm not scared easily of such things because I take it all one at a time, I'm not going to be concerned about being eaten by a lion or about the plane crashing down... that's my mother's role

Have fun Cid. o/

I'm in this thread for another reason though. It's time to say goodbye, but not without a thank you, hence this otherwise non-existent post instead of a silent leave.

I've been a longtime lurker solely because of ePSXe, and anything I ever needed help in during my initial experiences was already answered because of what others had already asked. (especially by Kane, back then)

I've been registered here for quite a while now, although I've taken a few great pauses, and I've enjoyed reading and replying to some of the stuff here whenever I was bored now and then and while on the intardnet. Especially Boltzmann and GALVATRON were good for some fun and/or interesting talks, albeit the latter is quite prone to inactivities. That's not to say that others of the likes of Proto, Elly, or even Sigma never made interesting statements or diverse topics, although I agreed much more with the first one than the latter two.

I take it that much of my indifference to most of the other boardmembers' troubles, worries and sympathies is responsible for a somewhat unpopular reputation to the majority of this board, as well a perhaps somewhat conceited appearance in some of my posts, though these were assuredly truthful and were never intentional to appear that way, which I might say still was a case prone to the age-old "in the eye of the beholder"-morality. And then there's my siding with Boltzmann in many cases, ofcourse. That's why I will depart with much ease, knowing I won't be missed by the masses.

The reasons for my departure are several:
- This board grows to be annoyingly distractive whenever I gaze upon it. (=good)
- I'm having less and less time due to academic and work tasks, down to the point where I'm starting to have no to extremely little free time at all; even gaming has paused to a previously (to me) unheard of standstill. But hey, that's been my choice, as I'm currently pursuing several once-in-a-lifetime oppurtunities.
- I'm finding the boards' currently existing philosophies, morals, values and takes on things to be less and less to my own consent, which makes me feel more and more out of place.
- I have no need of most of the emulation news or help found here these days.
- SeveralotherstuffIcanneverspeakofinpublicormycastr ationensues

I bid you farewell and would like to show special appreciation to Bobbi, FLaRe85, Betamax, and several other admins/mods for doing what they do here for and on NGEmu. I may be back, but there is no guarantee (so rejoice ), nor will it be anytime soon (ie this year). If I won't, at least I'll have done my thanks to all of you. To the few to whom it applies, I'm still a lot on MSN and will still reply to email.

Thanks and Goodbye. Be sure to have fun while it lasts. I know I will.

Sigh.... the boards have lost another of the members I appreciated the most. May you have luck with your studies Gaurav (although you probably won't need it )... although now that you and Boltzmann are seemingly gone, and with Galavatron's and many of the other interesting members inactivity, this forums has lost much of its appeal to me as well >.<

I'll be waiting for you Gaurav. We were not the best friends, but I won't forget what you've told me when I left before. I respected some of your posts.

liking someone or not isn't a problem when you respect him, that's over like. And I'm sure you'll be reading this. That was your words when I was leaving aswell

Didn;t have much time to edit it ^_^ . Have fun Gaurav.

Farewell, Gaurav. You were one of our finest members, that’s for sure. There’s nothing else that need to be said here

As for me, I’ll be gone from the boards for a while too.

I’ve developed a strong dislike for the ad hoc way that the rules are being enforced (i.e. to suit the mood or personal opinions of the admins, without any previous notice). The way that completely valid post/threads are being deemed as spam is especially pernicious (case in point: Player-X’s weird news threads and the often serious discussions that they entail).

Add to this the fact that we got some annoying individuals (and there’s even a mod among them) who spam legitimate threads with their complaints, and the environment becomes quite unpalatable. To add insult to the injury, one of them also made several proto-nazi posts in a recent thread…

I’ll be back eventually… I think. There’re still some good people left (BTW, Reichfuher gets my award for best mod all around) to justify a return.

And I’ll be around to see Cid’s vacation pics. Enjoy it to the fullest, Cid

Bye Boltzmann.
Hope you`ll come back here shortly. Even though you like contradict people most of the times, and you won`t except some clear facts sometimes, it still was fun talking with you. Hope you`ll come here more often.
Untill we meet again...
