Look man, all my gaming life I had a really, REALLY CRAPPY vid card (intel i740). You can just imagine my excitement and happiness when I finally got a GF3. So please, let me f***in' be.

Heh, at 800x600 the GeForce 3 won't show much improvement over the GeForce 2 Ultra in performance. You should play at something like 1024x768x32+ to take advantage of the GF3's true capabilities. In some of the lower resolutions the GF3 loses out to the GF2 Ultra because the card is optimized for high resolution.

Well, at least the GF2 prices have dropped with the release of the GF3. I may actually be able to purchase one now.

Oi, Xeven, did you just dis my GeForce 2 MX/200? This is one tight (now Asz is gonna hate me) card. 64MB of RAM is not bad at all, buddy. And it sure beats the crap out of a (shudder) 4MB Stealth 200...

no i didn't dis your mx200

im just saying that the thing should be really fast at 640x480 anyway, so its ok. Actually i once bought a 1Ghz Athon+mx200 for my brother as a gift, but when i tried on the mx200 (inno3d), wasn't satisfied at the results at anything above 800x600, so i exchanged it for an mx400 and tweaked it up the arse.. ehehe

My GeForce 2 would be fast IF I had a decent motherboard and CPU... CELERON 300A & 2xAGP & 64 (I did have 128 but...)
so now I am saving for athlon

Go for it man! I was thinking of getting a P4 but a friend of mine says it's much more expensive. I have an Athlon right now (see sig) and it's all good.
