your opinion on American and Asian games or comics characters

so whats your opinion on those character and which side you like more...i like asian character more and i kind of like the american characters too, like from marvel, DC and stuff.. most of them look series, stronger, and look more evil(for evil characters) than asian characters, but i dont understand why most of them have similar name and design to each other, like superman, batman, spiderman, x men, iron man..and many more "man's" character out there..and especially their outfit..if you pay attention to their design..they're all wearing tight outfit..unlike asian character, their names and outfits doesnt sound or look similar to each other, some wear tight and some wear loose outfit...and their designs are neat and stylish...

There are some good American comic characters but Asian comic characters seem to have much more depth to them.

as for the games, there are splendid american/european games, but I always find it notable that asian (jap) games have a much better presentation in general. If you see the opening of a jap game, you just WANT to play it, whereas the eur/us game often will only appeal until AFTER you've played it first. Of course its not always like that..but it is often..

Since I'm not into manga stuff, I only like american characters. Specially Marvel. DC sucks

American Comics wise I'd go for Marvel... DC was about mere super-heroes while Marvel always went for more interesting topics (like it happens in X-Men). Between Manga and US Comics my choice is clearly Manga...

I go for eastern characters mostly, a few exceptions are Futurama and The Simpsons. Pretty much for the same reason Samor mentioned.

The whole "man" thing seems to be more prominent in superheroes coming out of the 50s and 60s. Of course, those were cheesier times for comics if you ask me. You don't see the whole "man" as a suffix thing going on with the more modern (as in created more recently) superheroes.

I disagree. I think most American comics have very good, memorable story lines with good character depth (often troubled). The big name comics do at any rate.

I like both American and Japanese comics. I'm just now getting into manga (currently reading Ranma 1/2) though, so I couldn't really compare the two thoroughly at this point. The one difference that I notice though is in costume design. While American superheroes tend to have elaborately designed costumes, Japanese characters sport weird fashions. And in American comics, it's just the superheroes/villains who wear the elaborate costumes, whereas in Japanese comics, it seems that everyone wears strange outfits.

Too many, considering that they have been on the market ever since... the 70s-80s if I'm not mistaken...

Hmm...We generally enjoy Asian game titles...
Manga and comics? Hmm...generally we watch anime (Pretty much manga on screen), but we noticed more manga showing up on store shelves around us...so we may pick up a series
We are oldskool..and first grew up on DC comics...then we graduated to the Marvel Universe...then Image Comics came into play with it's darker, grittier artwork and storylines....On occasion we will pick up a Darkhorse comic as well...

Image Comics is great - how could I forget about them?

Spawn is one of my favorite characters ever...
