I've already written about this, a long time ago. I'll make a search and see what I can found.

But there's nothing mystical about deja-vu. It's all a malfunction in our brains

I remember having them many times... but I know Boltz will say that's a lag between the brain and something else. Prolly true, but sometimes, I think that's something else

Damn it, I can't use the search funtion here at work. It always give me a "server not found" error (and I know that the problem is here, since it works perfectly at home).

In an old post of mine I explain in in more detail... But you're right Killjoy, I say that it's all a misfire in some neuron

Most of my deja-vu seems to come out of dreams.

Rarely.

Once I recognized an image of a dream. The other times I had the feeling of a "regular" deja-vu during conversation.

Boltz's mentioning of an explanation strikes me as odd for the fact that I never looked it up myself. I don't know why. I don't recall not looking something up that was within my field of interest. This must be the first subject I've had this with.

Wait-.. isn't that the opposite of Deja Vu?

Well in very rough terms deja vuh can be explained as a partial afloration of the unconcious part of our brain, mailnly due to an extreme exhaustation of our concious part (such as not having sleeped for more than 24 hours, having very little sleep for a long period of time and the such)... as such we get wierd perceptions, being one of the most common ones the deja vuh... in fact ive never experienced that... aw well

Sometimes some events seems like they have already been done... I get that feeling a lot lately... maybe it's because of the routine...

We feel we have done it before and its true. It just that the matrix has been reloaded again.... Damn Kirby, you wrote about it before.... me goes to cry to his dark corner....

I'm looking forward to Boltzmann answer. As for Proto's post: iI just don't get it. We can have bad perceptions about what we are living in a determined instant but this has ocurred to me: there are sometimes when you say "i have done this before" and then i say " and now your mom should come and say it's ready" and then her mother comes and says its ready.
A bad perception is ok but what about even knowing what is happening after you realize "you have lived this before?"
