Canadian Court Slaps Music Industry Again!

First the Canadian Court ruled that P2P is legal and now this.

In a 9-0 ruling that sounded a sour note for music composers and publishers, the court said it is both impractical and unfair to expect service providers to monitor and pay tariffs on the vast flow of material that individual users can access.

Anybody remember Hélène Chalifour Scherrer, the Liberal MP that wanted to make P2P illegal?

Well, she won't be harassing Canadian P2P users again.

It is a shame too since all of everyones learning will be learned from the downloading of internet files .Most p2p users are the ones that will make something usefull for everyone .

I think he's saying that P2P networks are a good learning resource(psshh, maybe for some people

), and that a good P2P user will give back to the network.

I'm not paying jack squat for P2P file sharing. If the album doesn't suck, I'll buy it, but if I only like 1 song I'm not gonna go waste $15 on a CD that sucks.

I buy albums for artists that deserve it. But for a 1 good song an 15 crappy others I'll download the one song instead of being dissapointed with buying an album. Yay I get to download .... Weeeee!
