It seems that cheating in games has gone beyond control these days. and it is estimated that by the year 2010 "cheatism" will replace alcoholism and drug abuse as the no.1 addiction in the whole world.

It is a common experience that cheatism leads to a "cheat hangover" (i.e.> total loss of interest in the game being played). trust me, you do NOT wanna have a cheat hangover. so i decided to form a group to deal with the problem of cheatism. please feel free to join as there is no enterance fee

lol... I used to cheat alot in video games, but don't so much anymore. It takes all the fun/challenge out of it IMHO. Grand Theft Auto is the exception to that...

I've yet to use cheats on a game... though I won't lie, I've just got Warcraft III the other day, got stuck on a mission where I'm overwhelmed and I'm... well, kinda tempted

For me the Game Genie for the NES ruined my skills greatly at some games. It will get you lazy.... With PC games like NFS3 I also used to cheat to get the fast cars instantly.... And I remember me playing GTA (1 and 2) with cheats most of the time.....
Nowadays I don't cheat anymore. I'm gonna prove I'm good at stuff

We cant be gods in real life..lets dream and become super powers in our own little fat dork worlds..hehehe snort..@_@.. again who gives a shiznit if some kid cheats on a game.. addiction? so..its a game..ooooo my mind is becoming corrupted..oooooo...the sky is falling..oooo...psh..whatever lol

I can't stand cheating. If you have to cheat then you no business playing (no offence to anyone)

The only time I have ever used a game code, was to get Sephiroth back in my party.

I also use cheats before I put the game away for good now. I mean, when I stop playing a game for over 6 months, before I uninstall it, i'll check all the cheats to see what cool stuff they added

Please prove to us that the "wise" portion of your nickname indicates something about your character. Posts like these aren't needed as they insult the thread creator and disrupt the conversation. The easiest thing you can do, if you don't like a thread, is to just ignore it. Consider this a warning.

the only time i ever cheat is in GTA (of course) and when there is absolutely no way to get farther in a game (saving with low health at a hard part)...i normally play those parts about 20 times before i decide to use cheats though...but thats abtout the only time i can think of that i cheat anymore...

we couldn't care less if you cheat in single player games. But multiplayer is a different story. The people who cheat in multiplayer games need to be castrated and shunned from human society. I'm glad that people like epic are taking an active role in fighting cheaters by permamently banning keys of cheaters. People pay good money to have a fun and entertaining time online. There's nothing fun or entertaining about playing against someone who cheats. When that happens, the cheater robs the other players of their entertainment and the money they spent on the game to be entertained. It's just not right, period.

i agree with l3illyl3ob. cheating in multiplayer games just aint right. i would also like to point out that this is not an anti-cheating thread. i have nothing against people who use cheats. though the title may be misleading, cheaters and non-cheaters are welcome. ive also gotta do something about my sense of humor. "cheatism" and "cheat hangover" are just terms i made up and though cheating can be addictive, its nothing compared to alcoholism and drug abuse. i created this thread so that i could get your opinion about cheating in games ; both from cheaters and non-cheaters. i hope that clarifies things wise_evian.

I'm glad that people like epic are taking an active role in fighting cheaters by permamently banning keys of cheaters. People pay good money to have a fun and entertaining time online. There's nothing fun or entertaining about playing against someone who cheats. When that happens, the cheater robs the other players of their entertainment and the money they spent on the game to be entertained. It's just not right, period.
