If I got drunk with the Irish, wouldn't that be a compliment or something? I'm not Irish, but Irish people are cool.

The typical stereotype to which Irish normally are compared to, is the hooligan. Do you like actual Irish people, or that stereotype everyone knows about, Computertrendy?

You have to know actual Irish people to choose the first one though.

i don't really get st. patricks day...just seems like an excuse to drink...but then again...what holidays are ReALLY considered holidays anymore....flag day, presidents day, mother's & father's day (not that they don't deserve it), valentines day, martin luther king (no offense but there are people who have accomplished more who don't have their own day) and then some...just so many ridiculous holidays that just seem to be excuses to get off school and such...

I agree with Martin Luther King Day being rediculous. He had a dream, he spoke his mind. He also cheated on his wife. What other hero hasn't done all that but doesn't get a holiday?

Well, MLK himself may or may not deserve a day, but it's not really HIS day. It's more like civil rights and equality day and that's a concept that I think DOES deserve attention and a day off. They just named the day after him since he was one of the guys who spearheaded the whole movement, and his ideas were peaceful and non-violent.

Hehe, they played a quote from a pub owner in Dublin on the radio this morning, St. Patricks day is a big deal in the US but it doesn't seem to have as much flare in Ireland and he was asked what the true meaning of St. Patricks day was... His answer? To get drunk

And in that spirit I now go off to down a pint of guiness. In the words of Peter Griffith, it may taste like warm tobacco spittin juice but it's still beer.

Well, you must be happy. In a further attempt to corrupt your lazy minds our goverment endorses senseless parties so that we can be "off - school" and "rest a lil" As such, we grow accostumed to hedonism, laziness and to doze off. Perfect people and ready to be manipulated.

Yeah ProtoMan desires you a Happy Saint Patrics day
