Lame sidekicks

we all know about the lame side kicks main charactors have to put up with in Games, anime, and the like. What are some of the sidekicks you've always hated? Personally, I can't stand Otacon from Metal gear solid. He pissed himself for crying out loud! I just think he really lowered Snake's cool factor.

Tails was cooler in the original Sonic games. While I still like the character (hey, look at the avatar), his lameness-factor raised a lot since Sonic Adventure. :/

btw, everyone who thinks Otacon crying in MGS2 was stupid, raise your hands! ...I guess it was supposed to be emotional or something. (I'm not saying why he was crying; I don't like to spoil :P )

luigi is average; in fact; originally he was mario's doppelganger with a different color scheme, but eventually reduced to a stretched, inferior version of our beloved nintendo hero.

I've always liked tails in the sonic games...but knuckles was a bit too much for me.
(an Echidna?! where do they come up with stuff like that?!)
Actually the whole " Otacon has a total breakdown ", scene amused me. *SPOILERS!*
I mean, c'mon! look what happened too the poor guy. the memories of his creepy stepmom-stepson relationship came flooding back, and then that Bastard Vamp decided to....I dont want to spoil anymore ^.^ Hmmmm...i always saw Luigi as mario's little slave child that followed him everywhere......you know - like those kinds of clingy people who follow you and try to talk to you at parties. As for yoshi.....I thought he was an interesting fella. * Had tons of fun playing good ole' Yoshi's Island*

I just don't like a sidekick that's too brave and not as powerful/skilled as me and always runs off and I have to save his ass (like my broother in a co-op game of just about anything)

personally, I hate all your teamates in those countless war games where your Team AI's I.Q. is the equivalent to their age. *not knocking on the Medal of honor series but...* On the first level of medal of honor frontline, after you get the demolition guy to blow the fence...what does he do? HE RUNS STRAIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A FRIGGIN MINE FEILD! (although it is funny to see him get juggled in the air several time) Although the rest of the game's AI isn't half bad, that one moment appalled me.
Anyone seen the anime Hellsing? I HATE (emphasis on the word HATE) Jan Valentine of the Valentine brothers. He was the most annoying, obnoxious, and all-around-worst charactor of the series. Blah* heres to you jan!

hmm... Sidekickz... i couldnt say that otacon was that bad...
he had too much of hell IMO.. it's just fine if he cried and wetted himself a bit, it helps the story (gives it depth and emotion)..

not much bad sidekicks in most games IME (which is a bit little)..

Well, when i say sidekicks - it doesn't apply strictly to game. It can be from Anime, books, comics, T.V. shows and anything where a sidekick is apparent.

Stupid sidekicks..... Well the coolest ever sidekick is The Luggage from Discworld, but lame ones.... hmmmm well the whole Asuran/Kira thing in Gundam SEED just freaked me out, but I feel that Itsuki from Initial D has got to be one of the lamest sidekicks ever.

Hmmm... A lame sidekick.... How about that stupid GuideBot in Descent 2 and 3? Certainly it's useful, but it is a bit of a pain when you are in the middle of a battle and you keep accidently shooting it (especially when using the Omega Cannon).

frodo is a lameass sidekick...and yes, in my eyes he was the sidekick...sam was badass
krillin was a pretty lame sidekick
sakura-chan (in naruto) is a pretty lame sidekick
Faye (cowboy) is a lame sidekick (despite the fact that she's hot n' all)
...um, i wasted enough time thinkin up lame sidekicks...i'll come back when i have more

LOL @ kane's reference to itsuki...actually, i thot he was really funny and i admired him for his endless support for takumi as well as his determination to increase his driving skills

EDIT: i also wanna say that Wolfwood (IIRC) from Trigun was pretty cool.

ok, for all you ppl over here in the U.S., one of the lamest sidekicks: **** Cheny. The Vice president no one cares about. Also, all the mortal combat spinoffs annoy me. Reptile, Scorpion, Sub Zero, Smoke, Noob Saibot are essentialy the same charactor design with different colors. (and different powers). Possibly the lamest sidekick of all? Tinkle from Zelda: windwaker. gah.

oh no, i definitely thought that tien and chaiotzu were way cooler than krillin. tien was pretty badass fightin....was it buu, i think...and chaiotzu could self destruct...any sidekick that can selfdestruct moves up in my books.

Well, I don't want to sound like I like DBZ or anything, but Tien fought Cell at his second level (ugly one, IIRC), and held him for a time.....of course, he about got himself wasted doing it, but it was still badass for a "human" (not really sure what he is, what with the three eyes and all). And Chaozu.....he's about the most worthless P.O.S. ever.....Krillin wasn't all that bad, and Yamcha is redeemed due to being a lady's man (and not being a jerk at the same time.....plus, Bulma's hot!

I'd have to say that Robin is annoying.....
Barret from FF7 is annoying as well, he never has anything USEFUL to say, but it may just be due to the translation.....Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but Barret just gets on my nerves.....
The sidekick in the third Donkey Kong, what a stupid idiot. Maybe ONE purpose in the entire game.....

Eh, sidekicks for the most part suck.....and Kuwabara is hilarious, BTW, at least when he tries to show up Yuseke(sp?) or the many-eyed dude.....I just hate it when I can't remember the name of the coolest guy in a series.....

The only good part about a sidekick is comic relief.....period.....at least if they are truly a sidekick.

lol i got to go with D.D. Itsuki was a cool sidekicker. maybe not the best but he brought something good to the series. IMO
in DBZ i thought tien and definitly chaozu were lame. then there was yamcha....what a wimp.....krilin, not to bad, but not that great. only good sidekicks were Vegeta and Piccolo...at least they a story behind them

He just came off as the preppy kid no one likes, and that follows people around that don't really like him...
The red haired guy from yu yu hakasho, that some one mentioned...IDK, I'll bet it had something to do with the American voice actor, but he sounded really retarded.
