Rurouni Kenshin Wondering Samurai Box
Now I havnt seen the entire series, I'v actually only seen maybe the first 10 eps on CN and saturdays on Adult Swim. I have to say from what I have seen the series is damn good and worth collecting.
Has anyone bought the wondering samurai box set? is it worth it? The price is worth it for R1 DVD's, I refuse to spend a dollar on bootleg's

RK is a great anime, however there's a problem with it... it was made while the manga was still released thus there are a lots of fillers... in fact it only covers the first 2 arcs of the manga, the third one (the Jinchuu arc) isn't covered on the anime, instead you get a lot of crappy fillers that make you puke...

Yeah, the manga is better than the TV series, but I do feel that the 2 OVA series capture the spirit well, even if the second was a little short to cover the entire Enishi arc.....
The TV series is really good up to just after the Shishio arc, at which point it becomes basicaly non-stop filler. I don't think I've watched past ep 70, but my friend Shane confirmed my suspicions.

I watched the original Japanese version, and some of the CN Adult Swim stuff... and I'd have to say if you decide to get that series, go for the Japanese version, or perhaps at least one with both Japanese and English tracks, because it sounds SO much better... and even a lot more funny in certain parts in it's original language, the way it was intended.
Just my 2 cents.
